Affordable Healthier Hydrating Deep Hair Mask

Ola Beauty Lovers! My apologies for me disappearing for a while. I have been dealing with some personal relationship issues and I was not in the mood to write. However I am here now so lets get right into it.

I am going to share with you my secret weapon for the best hydrating mask that you can use at home with home ingredients.

I switch up my concauction all the time for my hair masks but, this is the current one I am using at the moment. I know you may get scared because they are all oil based but believe me, once you try this hair mask you will not want to go back to all that processed products after you have experiences all natural ingredients.

Ingredients:
Half a cup of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
2 Table spoons of Avocado Oil (or even a fresh raw ripe avocado will do)
2 table spoons of Sweet Almond Oil
1 tea spoon of Macadamia nut oil

Take all these ingredients and stir them well into a bowl. Once they are stirred and blended nicely together start applying this mask to your dry hair. Start at the ends of the hair and work your way to the roots and scalp.

Once you have applied the entire mask, place your hair in a bun with a clip and put a cheap clear shower cap over top. Keep in mind the longer you let this mask stay in your hair the better the results will be. I usually leave mine in for a few hours, around 2 to 3 hours sometimes longer. You can also apply the blow dryer to your head while the cap is on to speed up the process if you wish. But I like to do it naturally.

Once you have let the mask soak in your hair for the amount of time that you are comfortable with, its time to shampoo. Remember you need to shampoo at least twice in order to remove all that oil from your hair. Sometimes if I feel I still have some oil left over in my hair I will shampoo a third time so don't  be scared not to do that.

After shampooing, you follow your normal hair care routine. Conditioner is applied afterward, let that sit a couple minutes, if you're in the shower do what else you gotta do and then at the end rinse the conditioner out with cool water. You want to ensure that your hair cuticles are closed by rinsing with cool water so that the moisture and color (if you have colored hair) does not run out from your hair.

Place your hair in a towel to squeeze out the excess water and proceed to add any serums or heat protected spray for blow drying.

Blow Dry and flat iron if you wish too, and your results should be spectacular. You won't even believe that is your hair on your own head!

Leave me a comment below once you have tried this and let me know your results.

Until next time Beauty Lovers❤️

DolledUp Collection Accessories

Ola Beauty lovers! Yes I know it's been a while since I have been on here. At least a few days. Sorry fellow readers, I am still dealing with arrangements from my accident so I was busy with that stuff. Plus I had to go out and purchase a new car so I was also busy with shopping around for some wheels. Anyways I am hear today to talk a bit about the Dolled Up Collection. I found this accessory company over Instagram. I fell in love with one of their bracelet sets called "Enchanted", very gorgeous set of starfish and an anchor. Reminded me much of the ocean and the beach, and I love both scenes. So I ended up purchasing the Enchanted set and the company knowing I have a blog/vlog was kind enough to through in an evil eye bracelet at no additional cost to review.

You can purchase any of these accessories online at www.dolledupcollection.com . The prices are reasonable they range between $6- $60+ and they ship world wide. The Enchanted Bracelet set cost $39 plus tax. Which is not bad since you are getting 4 bracelets in that set. The Braided Evil Eye bracelet goes for $16.50 each and you have a selection of 3 different colors, Turquoise, Black, or White. I have the Turquoise one.

The shipping time did take a bit longer then expected, but the shipping cost was not expensive at all, it was average $7 - $10.

I absolutely love these bracelets. They are versatile with any outfit, they are colorful, which I love because pops of color are always great in accessories especially when you are wearing a very neutralized outfit.

I find the make of these bracelets are very sturdy and they seem that they will not break or rip. They are the perfect item to pair with your out fits to bring some excitement to your day.

What I love about the enchanted set is that you can wear the entire set or you can mix and match those bracelets with other pieces you have in your own collection of accessories. The evil eye bracelet is a larger piece on the arm so you might not want to pair that one up or you could. That would be totally up to you and your style of course.

Below are some photos I took of both products on my arm. Hope you Enjoy!

Make Out 2014

Ola Beauty Lovers! The last few days have been very stressful for me. I mentioned in my last article that last week I was in a car accident. Well my car is being written off, and I am on the hunt for a new car. I am the most emotional wreck it's not even funny. Between Insurance Adjusters, Body Shop Owners, Bank Reps, I literally want to curl in a ball and die.

Have you ever seen Sex and the City when Carrie Bradshaw gets evicted by her own ex-boyfriend and she has to come up with the money to buy her apartment? Well no that's not exactly what I am going through, however money is a bit tight now a days. Since when has the quality of living gotten so damn expensive? Like WTF? I can't believe between insurance, car payments, day to day living alone is sky rocketing, and I still live at home, I can only imagine what it will be like when I have my own place. So I have decided to follow a contract I have made for myself to limit my spending on make up and stuff I don't need. Because lets face it, I have enough stuff as it is. I hate the feeling of hoarding all these items. I am determined to get my collection down to a minimum and keep it down low.

There is no need to have so much make up, so much color products. So I am on a De-clutter binge. I got this idea from the one and only Christine at PinkSoFoxy. She has a blog with that nick name on here so go check her out. She also has a YouTube channel with the same name. She really helped me open up my eyes.

I am sharing this all with my readers because I could use some moral support on this one. I am determined not to fail this challenge and keep it going.

So the rules are below in case any of you are willing to take on the challenge with me. I am just ready for a new beginning and a fresh out look on quality of life etc, and I think this will be the best start for me. I did date this to start Oct 1st, but hell I am starting right now.

Oh and one more thing, just because I am on this Make out 2014 challenge doesn't mean I will not have beauty items to write about so don't worry it will not affect my blog. :)

Thanks for reading everyone!
Until next time beauty lovers ❤

MAC Beauty Haul (MAC Sale)

Ola Beauty Lovers! Last weekend I went to my local MAC beauty sale they have every quarter to half a year. What it is, is basically a giant warehouse sale of beauty products. Not just MAC there is Estee Laudier, Clinique etc. So my girlfriend happened to get a couple tickets (because it is by invite only) and she brought me along, knowing I have a Beauty Blog and YouTube Channel. Yes for those of you who do not know I do have a YouTube Channel. You can find me by my user name: MacGirl25Antonietta on YouTube.

So I did a little bit of shopping to try out some new items and to pick up a couple of my MAC products.
Hope you enjoy the Haul below, Note I also made a haul of the same items on my YouTube channel in case you are interested.

1. Estee Laudier Sparking Clean Oil Control Foaming Gel Cleanser ($20) (Retail: $30-$40)
  • I have never tried an Estee Laudier cleanser before so I thought this would be the perfect time to grab one of these babies to try out and share my thoughts with all of you. I have not used it yet, but on the package it does claim that it controls oils. Here is a snip it of what the bottle says, " Fresh, citrus gel surges into an exhilarating lather that controls oil without stripping". I took a whiff of it and it is very refreshing scent. So lets hope this stuff works. I will keep y'all posted.

2. MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover ($12) (Retail: $21)
  • I have not yet tested this eye make up remover out. But I have heard good things about it. So I am going to take a risk and test it out. It is a pricey make up remover retail price. Since I caught it on sale for $12 I figured why not. That sale price is equivalent to my other eye make up remover prices. Will keep y'all posted on this one too.

3. Grassroots Research Labs: Vitamin C Skin refreshing Cleanser with Vitamins E and B5 ($10) (Retail: Unknown)
  • I had never heard of this company before. But after doing a bit of light research, I learned that this company is affiliated with Estee Laudier. I have not been able to pin point any retail prices on this company so I will need to dig a little deeper. Looking forward to trying out this refreshing cleanser. For $10 you can't go wrong. Stay tuned as I use these products I will definitely be sharing my opinions with all my readers.

 4. MAC Eye Shadow Quad in Angel Flame ($25) (Retail: $50)
  • I love MAC eye shadow quads. I have a couple and I try to only purchase them when I go to sales like these because they are half the retail price! This one was my favorite out of the couple they had to choose from. Starting from the top left corner, there is a light shimmer highlight shade. Then beside that is a gorgeous coppery rose gold shade. This rose gold shade is what sold me on this palette. Then the bottom left shadow is a baby pink. I don't find the baby pink as pigmented as the rest. Then the bottom right is a charcoal grey which is perfect to smoke out the look if you wanted a more dramatic look at night. This palette is very versatile for both day and night. Love it. I would swatch them but my lighting is just not up to par today. Sorry ladies and gents.

5. 3 MAC Nail polishes ($9 each) (Retail: $18 each)
  • I love nail polish. For those of you who have read my previous articles, you know I love doing my own nails. It's a therapy for me. I found these at the sale and just had to pick them up. Normally I don't buy MAC Nail polish because they are pricey, but when I get the opportunity to go to a sale like this I make it worth it. From left to right here are the shades. "Life and Beth" is a creamy peachy nude. "Myth" is a cream yellow tone nude. "Triumphant" is a chocolate dark brown which is great for fall. To see swatches of these three beauties please go follow me on instagram @AntoniettaNacc

 6. MAC Velux Pearl Eye Shadow in Twinks ($12) (Retail: $18)
  • I have this shade already but I had to get another one because it is the perfect bronze fall shade for all over the lid or adding dept to the crease, I got greedy and picked this one up too. What can I say? I am a true Beauty Lover. Just look at that gorgeous bronze shade. If you want to see how these shadows look on me, please again follow my instagram @AntoniettaNacc I always post make up of the day looks and nail swatches all the time.

7. MAC Blush in Pink Swoon ($12) (Retail: $25)
  • Now I know every body and their mom owns this blush. But when I saw it on sale I had to pick it up because I did not own it. Yes that is the MAC Blush in Pink Swoon. This blush is one of the most popular blushes by MAC known to man. It does look a bit scary and bright in the packaging but when you apply it on the skin, its a beautiful light pink that is build able depending how flushed you want your cheeks to look. Love it, and I love that I scored it on sale LOL.

8. Grassroots Research Labs Flowing Cactus Extreme Moisture Cream ($25) (Retail: Unknown)
  •  So I picked up another Grassroots research lab product. From that I can see is that this company has distribution warehouse in Canada and they try to use as much natural ingredients as possible. Although not all of their products are all with only natural ingredients. Love the smell of this cream though, so I will be excited to use this in the winter when my skin needs the most moisture ever.

Ok so that is what I got at the MAC Sale. However I was not impressed with their selection this year on a larger base aspect. I was looking for 2 Clinique products that they did not offer. So I decided to go to my local Shoppers Drug Mart and redeem some of my Optimum points. Below is what I got for free with my points:

1. Clinique All about lips (Free) (Retail: $28)
  • I heard so many great things on YouTube from my friend  Lizzy, her channel is WhatWouldLizzyDo. I have read some great reviews on this product too. You put this on your lips before you apply any lip products. This is suppose to help de-line and de-flake your lips through out the day when wearing your lipsticks, lip glosses etc. So I am so excited to try this out.

2. Clinique All about eyes (Free) (Retail: $36)
  • I am about to run out of eye cream so I thought this is a good time to use up my points to get a good eye cream. This one felt really moisturizing and rich so I will test this baby out and let you all know my thoughts. The girl try to sell me on a $110 eye serum and I told her that I am only 25 years old I am not that desperate yet! LOL Sticking to the basics for now.

Anyways, that was my haul. I hope you enjoyed it. I will be keeping you all posted on my thoughts on these products as I use them. Please stay tuned. If you are further interested go check me out on my YouTube Channel MacGirl25Antonietta or Instagram @ AntoniettaNacc .

China Glaze Feather Effects Line

Ola Beauty Lovers! Yes I am back again to talk a little bit about the new China Glaze Feather Effects Collection of nail polish.

I found my two colors at Sally's Beauty Supply. When I first purchased them I was so excited to try them out. In the bottle they look awesome. This line is a bunch of thinly sliced glitter or colored paper of different colors. The collections has about 8 colors or so. The two I purchased were Flying South and You're a Hoot.

Application:
When applying this polish I notice that the formula is a bit thicker then a normal polish. The clear polish mixed in these feather effects polishes are very thick. I also notice that I need to apply 3 plus coats in order to get an opaque look. You need to be quick when applying this polish because it does dry quicker then most average polishes.

Texture
The finish texture is a but rough. Not really feather like. When I think of feather I think about soft velvety feeling. This is nothing like it. Once it dries it reminds me of the texture of bricks. Yes....bricks.

Wearing power:
The wearing power is pretty good. 6 to 7 days of wearing this polish without chipping providing you are using a base and top coat. Without a base and top coat I am assuming you can get away with 4 to 5 days of wear.

Removal
Keep in mind that when you use any type of glitter polishes usually the base in that formula is some type of glue to keep the glitter on your nails. So the fact is that these kind of polishes do not come of in one swipe like other average polishes.
That means you will need 100% acetone to remove this polish off your nails. You can get 100% acetone at any beauty supply or drug store, and be patient because it will take some effort to remove this polish off.

Price:
These are the same price as any other China Glaze polishes so between $5 to $8 depending where you buy them.

Final thoughts:
It was worth the shot to test these puppies out but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this collection again. The look of then on the nails looks cool but for me it's not worth it when I have to remove them. I prefer polishes that is easy to remove.

Until next time beauty lovers❤

GlamzandGlitz Accessories

Ola Beauty Lovers! I know I have been M I A a few days. But I haven't had the best of luck lately. I was in a car accident and totalled my car so I have been pre-occupied with finding a new car. Anyway I am here to talk about GlamzandGlitz Accessories.

I found this company on Instagram. There Instagram name is : glamzandglitz

They were so kind to send me a couple of pieces to review for my readers. I have posted a photo on my instagram of me wearing them if you want to check that out you can find me at Antoniettanacc.

They sent me a scissors bracelet and a Live Love Laugh bracelet set. They are the two cutest pieces ever.

My Boyfriend is a Hair Stylist and when he saw the Scissors bracelet he fell in love with it. So I gave up the bracelet to him. That bracelet is very uni sex which is a bonus because you can have more then one demographic wearing the pieces.

I got to rock the Live, Love, Laugh bracelet set and I absolutely adore it. It is black and gold. You had the choice to also pick silver and black, but I loved the black and gold. I am more of a bronze girl so gold works well with my skin tone olive complexion and all.

I am not a Fashion expert per say, there are a bunch of other hard core fashion blogger's out there. But as for the regular girl who loves anything beauty related, I would say these accessories are pretty good in my book.

Another benefit to this company is that they are very affordable pieces. There price ranges between $8 to $50 and still very affordable items. My Live Laugh Love bracelet is about $22 which is pretty reasonable. The Scissor bracelet was $14. Which is very reasonable.

I have some pictures below, take a look I even have a couple pictures of my boyfriend rocking the scissors bracelet.

If you are interested in checking them out, please visit their website:

Current Beauty Empties August 2013

Ola Beauty Lovers! It is that time of the month again for current beauty empties for August 2013! Yay! I am so excited to show you my little stash of empties that I have some strong opinions on.

Let's just jump into this shall we.

1. Listerine with Fluoride
  • I always use an antiseptic mouth wash when I do my oral care routine. This one is my favorite because it does have fluoride in it, which double helps with prevention of cavities. It is a bit pricier thank other mouth washes. But girl I don't cheap out on my teeth. Depending on what drug store you get this at, you may find it between $7- $8. There are other cheaper, but this one is my favorite. The minty taste is great too.

2. Delon+ Premium Cotton Rounds
  • These are also another favorite of mine. These are the best cotton rounds to use when removing any make up on the face. I mentioned them in my last empties and I will mention them over again. They do not come apart when you apply make up remover, they are very durable and soft for the face. You get these at Costco in a large container for $15. Each stack comes of 100 rounds and there are about 9 or 10 stacks. Definitely will repurchase when I run low.

3. Mane 'n Tale Color Protect Shampoo
  • I have also had this in a previous empties or favorites article. I love using this shampoo because it helps thicken my hair, make it grow a bit faster, and it helps protect my color. I used this when I took out my fusion extensions and it literally brought my hair back to life. Love it! Very affordable $4- $5 bucks at Wal Mart or Sally's. Sally's may be one or two bucks more but still worth it. Will definitely re purchase once I finish my other shampoos. Definitely one of my top 5 for sure. Note, this shampoo also is a clarify shampoo so if you need to remove gunk this one is a goody for that as well.

4. Beauty Treats Cucumber Make up Removing Cleansing tissues
  • I love these make up remover wipes. I have had these in my empties before. They are the balm dot com. I bought these at Trade Secrets for $4.95. Reasonable price, I mean I have seen some more expensive. The best part is that one package comes with 30 pre-moistened tissues, and they are drenched is make up remover. Which is amazing, I can not stand those wipes where they are so dry even when you wet them with water they don't do squat. These are awesome. Plus they should last you about a month if you use one per day. Definitely will re purchase.

5. Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
  • I do not waste time, I hates this product. This was by far the worst scrub ever. It claimed to unclog pores blah blah blah. Honestly, all it did was dry the shit out of my skin, that when I dried my face I had to lather on cream. Oh not to mention the smell of this product was horrid. Not my cup of tea!  I did not like this one at all. It does have some micro beads for exfoliating but it definitely did not turn my crank if you know what I mean. The price I think was about $7-$9 but honestly not worth the few bucks it is. You are better off getting something else from L'oreal (stay tuned to my next empties), or even St Ives.

6. Jane Cosmetics Eye liner in #1 Onyx (black)
  • Bought this liner not to long ago, I think it was about $3. It is a mechanical pencil type of liner. Well it was alright. Nothing amazing. The liner smudges, doesn't hold on the water line, and also doesn't hold on the upper eyelid line. I found that residue of the liner would end up on the bottom of my brow bone in the crease. It was frustrating to wear. Not my favorite and will not re purchase unless they reformulate it.

7. L'oreal Waterproof Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes and Lips
  • This is my ultimate favorite eye makeup remover. It is not greasy, does not leave a film behind after you use it, and does not sting the eyes. The only down fall is the price, it used to be $12 but now they have increased the price between $12- $14 depending where you find it. Bummer I know. But by gosh this stuff does the job and then some. My girl on You Tube "MsGoddessintraining" also uses this and she loves it as well. I am telling you once you try it, it is hard to go to anything else.

8. California Mango Buff (Natural Exfoliating hand scrub)
  • I found this product at Sally's one time last year. Wanted to try it out to see how it was. This is a great hand scrub for when you give yourself manicures. It smells like a light mango scent. The scrub is a smooth scrub where it doesn't hurt your skin but takes off the dead skin cells. It has a whole bunch of natural oils, Jojoba, Sesame, Soybean,  Sea Kelp, Aloe just to name a few. I think I bought this for around $6-$7 but sometimes it goes on sale for $4. So I will be keeping an eye out and once it goes on sale again I am definitely going to repurchase. This scrub makes my hands so soft even my boyfriend can't get enough holding my hands. *Blush*

9. Bath & Body Works Anti Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Lotion-Cucumber Melon
  • I think a lot of people enjoy Bath & Body Works products. The Cucumber Melon hand lotion has been my favorite for years. I used to leave one of these on my desk at the office and I would use it every day multiple times a day. Then I began to leave it in my purse so I would not use it often to savour it but nope I still manage to get through these bottles like water. They have other scents but this one is my favorite. I think they go for $3-$5 a bottle not too sure. Do not quote me on that. All I know is that it does the job and kills germs at the same time. What more can you ask for?

10. Britney Spears Believe- Feeling is Believing Body Souffle
  • I am a huge Britney Spears fan. Some of you may stifle me on that but guess what I do not care. Any way lover her perfumes too. When I got her Believe scent it came with this lotion. So I used it all up. It was OK for a lotion. Not something I would go out and buy again. It smelt great and did the job but will not re purchase the lotion again. Plus her lotions are pretty pricey.

11. MAC Pigment Tester in TAN- Sample size
  • Can not say anything bad about this. Love MAC Pigments. They are fabulous. Color pay off is great. When you use fix plus with it they look even better, like a metallic look to them. So I purchased the full size. Yes I did and I am not ashamed of it. A lot of MAC stores don't usually give out testers of pigments because they last so long, but the MAC store I go to, the girls love me there since I spend A LOT of money in that store. So that was nice of them to do to give me a sample.

12. Hard as Hoof Nail Strengthening cream
  • Love Love Love this nail strengthening cream. It is so affordable $5 at Wal Mart. Smells like Cherries, and works like a charm. This cream made my nails so much more healthier. This product carries vitamins A, C, D, and E. It is not greasy at all either. It seeped into my nail beds and cuticles like water. Phenomenal. Must have for your nail care routine.

13. IBD Reconstrux- Rebuild & Renew Nail Growth
  • I posted a current nail care routine recently and this product is part of it. This is an oil that you massage into your cuticles and nails before and after you apply nail polish. This product was the first product I used to get my nails where they are at today. I have a lot of friends who remember when I always wore acrylic nails, when my nails would be paper thin. This product was a miracle worker. I use this every night before bed over nail polish and it would seep into my nail beds and cuticles and would just nourish my nails and stimulate the growth as well as the strength of them. I get this at Sally's. It usually is around $9- $12 a bottle, but the bottle does last you a while, about a month and a bit. I have been using this for years and have gone through at lease 15 bottles or so and counting. Love it!

14. Orly In a Snap Top Coat
  • I love this top coat for the nails. It is a quick dry so the down fall is once you get to the last quarter of the bottle, it does get goopy and thick. So usually I will attempt nail polish thinner, and that will stretch it out a few more applications but after that it's time to say good bye and start a new one. This goes for about $9 at Sally's. That is the only place I have been able to find it. But if you can get them cheaper knock yourself out girls. I like this top coat, I will probably buy it again but I have other top coats to get through first.

15. L'oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizer
  • So I had this in one of my favorites when I first got this product a while back. It is a face cream to minimize pores. I did enjoy this cream. I got it on sale at Wal Mart once for under $10 and it helped me stay matte the entire day. Sometimes when I did not wear make up and only the face cream, my skin still looked put together since it controlled my oils well. Some of you may not know that I am combination oily skin (especially in my T zone) and this product did help. The problem now is I can not find it any where. So I think it has been discontinued. Booooo.

16. Reversa Cleansing Micellar solution for face and eyes- Sample size
  • Hated this make up remover. This make up remover was horrible. You try to take off eye make up with this and you will be ripping off your eyelids with it. There is no parabens which is the only good thing about this product because it sucked! I do not even know what the cost of a full size of this is and I do not even care because I will never use this again. Just awful.

17. Stri Vectin-AR  Advanced Retinol Night Treatment- Sample size
  • I am not so sure about this product. The smell was a bit questioning, but it claims to fix the signs of aging. On a small sample I can not speak to that. It did seem moisturizing for night time. Which is what I used it for, a night time cream. I doubt I will buy this in full size. I just think there are better things out there. Couldn't even tell you the full size price since I wont be buying this. But I would assume its on the pricier side.

18. Nuxe Nuxellence Jeunese Fluide Rechargeur- Sample Size
  • To be honest I could not tell what to use this for on the package. But from the minor descriptions I figured it would be safe for my face. The scent of it was floral, seemed alright to me. The cream it self I used on the face but was not thrilled. It seemed a bit greasy to me. I did not like it at all. Definitely won't purchase that one in full size either.

19. Bioderma Purifying Corrective Care- Sample Size
  • I liked this product. This sample was to restore the skins natural clear aspect, or so it says on the bottle. I find that it did help my skin tone even out. Which is great. The only thing I did not like was the scent was a but nasty. Did not like the scent, and personally when I don't like the smell of something I put on my face it means I won't be using it again. If they would make this product smell nicer I would consider buying the full size.

20. Guinot- Matizone Shine Control Moisturizer- Sample Size
  • My Cousin Lia owns her own Spa in Woodbridge ON, Canada. Whenever I go visit, she usually sends me home with some samples for my oily combo face. This happened to be one of them. I love this moisturizer. It keeps me matte all day and the scent is appealing. Once I get through my other samples I will definitely go and purchase the full size of this. Will keep y'all posted on this one.

Well All that is it for my August Beauty Empties. I hope you all enjoyed these mini reviews as much as I enjoy giving them. What is in your beauty empties for August? What are you enjoying? Or not enjoying? I always enjoy reading your comments so please feel free to comment down below.
