Spring has Sprung Makeup

Ola beauty lovers! I know it has been a hot minute since I have been to report to you the latest and hottest items. I promise I will be posting some updated posts on what is "in" at the moment. But first let me talk to you about my recent trip to Shoppers Drug Marts Beauty Boutique. They had their spring event, by $75 or more in cosmetics and get 20 times the Shoppers Optimum points! Now if you live here in Canada, you know how big Shoppers Drug Mart is in this country. Shopper Drug Mart is basically the U.S.A Ulta store.

So I couldn't resist. I have a whole bunch of point accumulating that I am saving for a great shopping spree of makeup and skin care, the works!

Anyway, I had an idea what I wanted to pick up today in shop since I have heard some great YouTubers speak about it. The gorgeous Jodi from "Goo Roo Beauty" on YouTube has spoken about the Stila "In the Know" Palette ($50) many times. I have a few products from Stila, some individual eye shadows (Kitten especially), BB creams, Eyeliners, and lip products. But I did not have a palette from them. So I thought about the palette choices they had. Personally the other palette choices they had were so close to palettes I already had in my stash, so I gravitated more towards the "In the Know" palette because, one it is ALL MATTE shades. Two, even though there are a lot of neutrals in this palette that is fine with me, especially since I am a nude/naked type of eyeshadow wearer. Finally three, the gorgeous burnt orange shade in this palette just made me want it even more! So I bought the palette. I am so excited to wear this palette its amazing. It also comes with an amazing stay all day smudge stick waterproof eye liner in the shade "Half moon". A gorgeous dark grey tone liner. It is definately something different that what I already had in my makeup collection, believe it or not. Plus Stila's smudge stick waterproof liners are amazing, once they set the do not move or budge. You will need the jaws of life (AKA a good makeup remover oil) to get this off you. Below I will show you all some swatches I did on these shades so you can see what I am talking about.

#Shoppingproblems

Great pigmentation, blends well, and all Matte shades. Can't go wrong here.

This dark grey liner looks amazing with this palette. Compliments the shades perfectly.

Now, if you think I walked into this store bought the palette and walked out, you are sadly mistaken! Shame on you for thinking I would not leave there without another item. If you have not noticed my blog is a beauty blog lol :)

So what else did I get you may ask me? Well, I have a lip product feddish lately so I ended up picking up the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the color "Carina" ($29). I have two other shades in this liquid lipstick line, and I was not a huge fan of the drying formula. BUT the color are so pigmented, the longevity is amazing, they do not transfer and they are a matte finish, aka that means semi-LOVE. Here is a picture below on the shade Carina. This product is the perfect lip product on those days you need to put color on your lips and forget about it because you won't have time to re-apply. May I suggest to bring a balm with you though? Also apply a balm under neath before applying this product so that you do not get over drying lippies.

Carina is the amazing coral orange shade that just looks fabulous on me when I have a bronze glow going on. For all you bronze biscuits out there, this color would look amazing on you!

Look at this amazing coral shade. Just loving corals, oranges and pinks this spring and summer.

Here is a picture of moi wearing the amazing lip shade in Carina. I just can not get enough of coral colors this year!

Don't mind the random shadow from my camera #bloggerproblems

That is what I picked up on my shopping trip today, I got to see my lovely ladies who work there at the beauty boutique in Shoppers Drug Mart, so it was nice to see them. Yes they do know me by name, sad I know. I am so excited for my new goodies, please let me know what kind of new products you have been to pick up and are excited to try out! Revlon 12 Hour Color Stay Eyeshadow Quads Review

Welcome back my fellow readers to another post. Today I am going to make it a quick review on the Revlon 12 Hour Color Stay Eyeshadow Quads. I have had these babies for a long time now, and they always come through to what I need them to do.

Of course the packaging has changed a bit from when I purchased mine, but still the Revlon shadows are always a good product in my eyes.

You can get these quads at any drug store, Target, Ulta, Wal Mart etc.

The pigmentation on these quads are great. They are easy to blend, and the lasting power on them is fabulous. The 12 hour statement is true. As long as you use a primer underneath you should be good. Sometimes you may find that the shadows give off a little bit of fall out, which you can't really complain about for the price you are paying for them. Aside of the fall out in certain shades these quads are great for everyday use.

The 3 palettes I have are #1 Copper Spice, I have been using this one all throughout October. #5 Blushed Wines is my second favorite. Both these palettes I have used throughout October since they give such great neutral looks.  The last palette I have is #10 Berry Bloom. This quad I do not use as often as the first two because this quad has more vibrant punch colors I can not wear in the office.

I have had some eyeshadow looks with these quads in my previous YouTube videos. Go check out my YouTube channel for swatches on these quads.  MacGirl25Antonietta

Now the price point is fairly reasonable. Each quad is around $8-$14. Which is great considering the high end palettes go no more then $40plus. To make this better Revlon goes on sale all the time so you could probably pick these up for cheaper as well.

#1 Copper Spice quad is very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. So if you do not want to go out and buy the $30 Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. This Revlon quad is a fabulous option.

Below is a photo of all 3 quads. If you want to see swatches please go check out my YouTube Channel MacGirl25Antonietta

From left to right here are the shade names: (Don't mind how full of shadow dust they have, that just shows you how much I use them :) )

End of October Beauty Empties 2013

Ola Beauty Lovers! I know its been a minute since I have been on here. I have been posting on my YouTube Channel: MacGirl25Antonietta more frequent then my blog. I am sorry just been catching up on my day time job and some personal issues I am going through.

Today I am here to show you my end of October Beauty Empties. I am so excited to get rid of these empties since they have been sitting in my room for some time now. Let's jump in.

1. Equate Cotton pads
- Bought these at Wal Mart for $2 and you get 150 cotton pads. They do the job to remove eye makeup or even nail polish. For so cheap you can not go wrong! Great product.

2. Origins Gin Zing Eye Cream (Sample size)
- Got this sample from Sephora, tried it under my eyes at night to hydrate. The label claims it should brighten and de-puff, but all it really did for me was hydrate. I did not notice any de-puffing or brightening going on. I doubt I'll buy this in full size.

3. Balea Detoxifying Face Mask
- Love this line of at home face masks. I buy mine at Shoppers Drug Mart for 3 for $5. They have a whole bunch of scents and different purpose masks. Great way to spend your evenings un-winding from a hectic day. I will always re purchase these.

4. Givenchy for Her Fragrance (Sample Size)
- I enjoyed this sample size of the Givenchy for her. It has a sweet smell but not over powering at all.
Don't you just hate when you get headaches from strong perfume? Well this does not do that at all. Once I finish a couple of my regular size bottles of perfume I do believe I will be picking this one up. I have one more sample of this one and I have been savoring it :)

5. Ardel Runway Fancy and Fashion 111 Lashes
- I have been trying to use more false lashes lately. With Halloween that just passed I used the Runway Fancy ones for that. The Fashion 111 lashes I re used a few times since they are reusable as long as you take care of them. The Runway Fancy lashes were horrible. They had the worst band on them that they irritated my lash line. The Fashion lashes were a lot better, their band was thin and clear so it did not irritate me at all. I just stocked up on the lashes from Ardel, the natural/fashion ones since their bands are more wearable then those runway line is. Ardel Lashes are pretty affordable. Sally's Beauty Supply has them for about $6 and sometimes you can find them on sale for 2 for $5!

6. 2 of the Silk Elements Olive Conditioner
- You guys have seen these in my empties time and time again. I get them at Sally's Beauty Supply, usually they are on sale for $0.99 which is a great deal. I have a few more to get through but I always enjoy this conditioner as everyday conditioner. Hydrates amazing and does not leave my hair greasy.

7. John Masters Organics Lavender Rosemary Shampoo
- I found this line on Nailpolishcanada.com. I thought I would try it out since it is organic, no parabens, no sulfate, no chemicals. The shampoo was $16. I loved the smell of the Lavender and Rosemary however I did not find that this shampoo really cleaned my hair. No it's not about the lathering for me. It's about when I get out of the shower and dry my hair I notice my hair is still a tad oily and it drove me up the bloody wall. I used so much of the shampoo to ensure I covered all my head and still it did not cleanse how I wanted it. Definite fail for me. Not worth the $16.

8. Bath & Body Works Candle in Harvest Gathering scent
- Got this medium size candle for Bath & Body Works for free after spending a certain amount of money. It was a great scent, I enjoyed it so much. I now started burning the large fall scent candles I have purchased from there. Yummmmy.

9. Yves Rocher Coconut lip balm
- Had this lip balm in my collection for a few years, worked hard to finish it because I could not stand the consistency of the balm. It was in a pot which is hard to work with because you don't want to get your hands dirty plus the balm itself felt gritty on my lips. Not refreshing at all. Thank God it's done. Will not repurchase that every again. I don't even know if they still make that line.

10. Growth Spurt Base Coat
-Finally readers this is my last empties for the end of October. This is my ultimate favorite nail polish base coat to strengthen and lengthen your nails. You can find this at Sally's Beauty Supply for $8 - $9 each. Love this stuff so much I stock up with back ups. My nails have chipped and split on the sides from stress and weather change that I had to cut them all short. This base coat is a miracle worker!

Well my fellow readers, that is it for my end of October Beauty Empties! Hope you enjoyed this article!
