Pandemic World & Beauty

Hello to my beautiful readers! I know its been a long ass time since I have posted on this blog. Well a lot has happened since April 2019, for the most part my relationship is doing good, I am happy. But this world is in shambles as we all know with this COVID-19 virus creeping up on us on the daily.

Now I was lucky enough to go to Mexico January 2020 and come home, and not catch this invisible deadly beast. But there is thousands who had traveled that were not so lucky. January in Canada it was still not that serious, so I did not have to quarantine. But when my boyfriends brother went away in March and he came back we had to quarantine him for two weeks.

My regular job has the option to work from home, so I was working from home before all this pandemic stuff hit. It's nice to work from home. I can not only get my work done but also focus on my health and eating properly. It just makes it easier. Plus I am saving so much time from not commuting 2 hours a day.

March 12, 2020 is when Ontario, Canada started to shut business down. A lot of people lost their jobs. I was so lucky to be able to still have mine, and work from the comfort of my bed. Everyday I am grateful for that luxury.

You are probably thinking, what are you doing now with the beauty regime or makeup since there is no where to go? Well, there are days where I get inspired and try new eye looks on my self and do a full face of make up just to keep my skills going. But most days I am doing all skincare. A lot of pampering with masks, and serums and moisturizers.

Now that we are at the end of September, it is starting to get chilly here in Ontario. So this is the time I will swap out my summer time skin care for my cooler months skincare. It sounds bougie but its not. Basically, you should be transitioning your summer warm weather skin care out when it gets cooler, and add in more deeper hydrating projects for the cooler months. The cooler it gets the drier your skin will become with the heat on in the house. Therefore you need a thicker moisturizer or add in a beauty oil as your last step of your night time routine.

I would like to point out that not only should you take care of your skin on the out side, but also take care of your entire body from the inside. We are now in the start of flu season as a general, so I would highly recommend you to talk to your doctor and ask if you are ok to begin a vitamin c supplement to boost your immunity. Even though there's a pandemic outside, you should be doing all you can to boost your own immune system from the inside out so that IF, and that is a big IF you were to catch a flu, or COVID, your immune system has a fighting chance.

Make up and beauty products for me during this pandemic has been simple aside from the days I choose to be creative with my makeup. But keep in mind, if you are heading out the house, and you want to wear some makeup, there is no need to wear foundation from the nose down or lipgloss, as you will be hiding it under the face mask you need to wear in public anyways. If you want to get creative try new eye shadow looks where people will be able to see your creativity if you are out and about. (Not that we do this for others, but its always nice to show off your talent)

With the restrictions on gatherings this year, we have not celebrated an Easter, or Thanksgiving and who knows what will be for Christmas. Remember to stay safe, keep your distance, wash your hands, and please for the love of God and all that is respectful, WEAR YOUR MASK!

Talk to you all soon, lots of love.
