MICHAEL TODD Moisture Lite Product Review!

Ola beauties! I am hear with a product review for you all. Now I know there is some controversy with the Michael Todd brand, however, I am totally honest with you all, I pay no attention to the gossip or negative media that went on about it. I am my own person, and if I want to try a product I will try it regardless what people think of the company or not. Sorry but I live in a free country, that means we have the right to our own freedom.

Anyways, moving on. I have always been curious about trying out Michael Todd products. I have seen people speak of their products on YouTube and blogs, some people love them some people are not thrilled. So I decided to take the dive and order a bunch of Micheal Todd products with my own money and see what the hype was on these beauty products. What can I say? I am a lover of all beauty items, and it sparked my curiosity.

Introducing new skin care to my skin all at once would be torture, especially if I do not know how my skin will react. So I started off slow. I started using the Michael Todd moisture lite face moisturizer since my skin is so dry during the winter, I thought it would be great for a day time moisturizer under makeup. How I use this product is, I wash my face like I would normally do, apply toner, then apply the moisturizer lite.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this product. The scent of this product smells like freshly squeezed lemons. Reminds me of summer time. Which is nice when you are stuck in the dead of winter LOL. The formula of this product is VERY light. It is a runny consistency which I don't mind. You definitely don't need to use a lot of product on each use. Therefore the bottle will last you a long time.

The product comes with a great pump so that you don't have to dip your fingers into the product and contaminate it. The packaging is decent. The only down fall is that you can not see the product through the container so you do not know when you are running low on the product. The bottle contains 2.4 fl oz of product. Since you do not need to use a lot of it at a time, it should last you a long while.

The price, well, it's $29 for 1 bottle. Which is average price for their moisturizers on their website. I would categorize this product in the high end spectrum of beauty skin care, but on the lower end of the high end spectrum. If that makes any sense to you as it does to me.

The ingredients in the product are great. A lot of natural ingredients, such as Organic Aloe, Organic Coconut oil, Jojoba and Grape seed oils, avocado oil and vitamin E. There is a lot more great ingredients where those came from as well. Another bonus is that this product is made WITHOUT Parabens! Definitely a more natural product for those of you who are looking to go more natural with less harsh chemicals.

When applying this product on a clean face, the formula is designed to soak up into the skin immediately and provide hydration without being oily or greasy.  I just can not stand when moisturizers are greasy especially when you need to apply make up afterward, so that is a great technology in this product. No there is no SPF in this product, but I am ok with that, as I find moisturizers with SPF give a greasy finish to the skin...YUK.

I really do enjoy using this moisturizer as a day time face cream. Yes it doesn't have SPF but that is not the end of the world, since most if not all of my foundations and BB creams all come with some sort of SPF in it. Therefore I don't need it in my moisturizer. But that is just my preference.

Quick Review: Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free™ Regenerator™ Moisturizing Gel-Cream

Ola beauty lovers! Today's quick review is on the Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free™ Regenerator™ Moisturizing Gel-Cream. Now when I first encountered this product, I must say I was intimidated. I received two deluxe sample sizes to try and at first when I opened the jar, the texture of the product scared me. I honestly thought it was going to be a greasy product and break me out. BUT I did not judge a book by it's cover, and decided to take the plunge and test it out...here are my thoughts.

Texture: very silky, I would say it appears to feel like a primer between the fingers, but it's not a primer. It is a gel based formula so it will apply smoothly to the skin and it its not greasy.

Smell: honestly, very light scent of roses. I didn't mind it at all, was not strong in any way.

Wear-ability: This product has no SPF, so I would suggest to use it as a night time moisturizer. It's thick in consistency and would be beneficial for the colder months to help provide the skin a nice layer of deep moisture.

Good ingredients: (taken off the Sephora Website) http://www.sephora.com/laser-free-regenerator-moisturizing-gel-cream-P307406?skuId=1407857
-Dragons Blood: A red resin drawn from the Amazon's Croton Lechleri Tree; a native secret that helps reduce the appearance of inflammation and helps accelerate repair.
-Vitamin B3: A multifunctional antiaging ingredient.
-Hexapeptide: Helps to support natural collagen and elastin.
-Dragon Fruit: Helps to improve the appearance of skin luminosity and helps to increase radiance.
- Also this product is made WITHOUT  Sulfates & Phthalates

Not so Good Ingredients:  Sifting through the ingredient list on Sephora, I noticed that this product carries FIVE different types of parabens....Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben...YIKES.

Price: As you can see below, this tub is $85 per 1oz. So it's a bit pricey on the high end side of the spectrum.

Where to buy?: I found this product at my Sephora here in Canada. Not sure where else they sell it other then the Peter Thomas Roth website and Sephora. If you don't have a Sephora around, ask your local beauty boutique on where you can find it in store.

Conclusion: Now you know me and my honesty, I never sugar coat things. Overall it is a decent high end moisturizer. If it wasn't so pricey and there weren't as many parabens in the product then I would consider purchasing in full size. The product did even out the texture of my skin. With just two applications I did notice a significant difference, my skin was smoother, a lot nicer to apply make up etc. Which would be the reason I would consider buying it in full size because it WORKED! As I say with all skin care products to my lovely readers. If you are unsure of a product, try to get your hands on a tester or sample size before you commit to the full size. Skin care can become pricey in general, SO always ask for a sample before you dive in to the major commitment.

That is it for now everyone!
