Summer Essentials: Body & Hair Care

Ola beauty lovers! Yes I know it has been a long ass minute since I have posted. You lovely ladies never leave my mind, believe me. Now that July is here, and I have already shared my summer face essentials, it is now time for Body and Hair care products!

I don't know about you but I go nuts for body care and hair care products just as much as makeup products. With Summer here and I am always in the sunshine when I am not stuck in my cubicle at work with no windows (I know yuck!) there are always certain products I heart during this gorgeous beautiful season.

Let's begin...

1. Bath & Body Works Triple Moisture Body Cream
  • A good moisturizer is key during the warmer months just as it is in the winter months. I tend to stick with the theme of the summer and go with a summer scent to spruce things up. Make sure after your in the sun, you shower and apply a good body cream because your skin will love you forever for that! I enjoy the Bath and Body Works Triple Moisture Body Creams because A. they do not have parabens, and B. they are not greasy, and C. they come in fun scents!

2. Bath & Body Works Body Mists
  • Now with the hot weather, comes perspiration times ten! Now ladies this is nothing to be ashamed of. We are all human. But girls please carry with you a body mist to spritz your self as a refresher if you need to. These two come in fun scents! They also come in travel sizes too so you can throw them in your purse!

3. Moisturizing Body Wash: Dove

  • You always need to make sure your skin is moisturized from the very first step of hygiene. My favorite body wash that just gives my skin the best drink of moisture is Dove. It is affordable and you can find it at any grocery store or drug store.

4. Deep Conditioning treatment for Hair: Coconut Oil OR Macadamia Deep Repair Mask

  • Now I know that some of us are on a budget, and the best most cost efficient deep conditioning treatment there is out there is coconut oil. This amazing natural oil is great for the scalp and hair. Make sure you purchase a bottle that says EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL because you want the oil to be less processed as possible. You can find this oil at any local grocery store or natural food store for under $10.

  • For those of you who may not have too much time to use coconut oil. The Macadamia Deep repair mask is one of my favorites to use as a treat on my hair. It is on the more pricey side but it works wonders and you do not need to user this every time you shower. I would say once a week if your hair is healthy. Twice a week if you have destroyed your hair where you have so much breakage and processed cuticles that it desperately needs treatment twice a week.

5. John Freida Root Awakening Shampoo
  • Shampoo is another importance for you hair. My favorite for the summer is the John Freida Root Awakening Shampoo. It has Eucalyptus and Mint that cools the scalp and just re-freshens you whole head. With the hot muggy weather we have here in Toronto Canada this shampoo is definitely a cooler for me. This product can be found at any grocery store or drug store. Very affordable as well.

6. Lush Sea Salt Spray
  • Every girl has the need for beach waves in their hair. My favorite product for the summer to get those natural waves is the Lush Sea Spray. Very affordable, about $12 a bottle. Once you get out of the shower towel dry hair, then spray this product in, and as your hair naturally dries you get a cute wave. To enhance the waves braid your hair and let it dry. You can also use this spray on dry hair. Just love this product in the hot weather.

That is all for today ladies! Hope you enjoyed!

Beauty Empties: February 2014

Ola beauty lovers! It is that time of the month again, they just come so quick. My beauty empties! I am jumping right into it because I have a bit of stuff. Enjoy !

1. Pauly D Bronzing Tanning lotion
- Love this tanning lotion. I have been using this for so long now, I bought a second bottle of it because I love it so much. I did a review on this baby last year for more details go check out my link below.

http://macgirl25.blogspot.ca/2013/08/pauly-d-bronze-beats-tanning-lotion.html

2. MJ Face Mask in Green Tea & Ginger Peel off
- Love this line of home face masks. They are affordable, you can find them at any drug store and they help you relax which is KEY! I mention these in almost every empties. This one was my last one of my stash. I have a few other mask brands to test out and report but I always tend to re purchase these babies.

3.Bath & Body Works Candle in Pumpkin Caramel Latte
- So glad I finished this scent. This scent is TOO SWEET and it gave me the worst head aches upon head aches when I would burn it. Thank God I finished it. Love Bath & Body Works Candles but hate this scent now lol.

4. Vita Fusion Multi Vites Gummy Vitamins
- Love this brand of vitamins. I don't know about you but I hate swallowing massive pills. So I opted for the gummy because they are easy to take and go. I am a busy woman, full time job, blogger and YouTuber on the side, not to mention my lovey boyfriend and family. I am always on the go, I need taking vitamins to be quick and painless.

5. Lancome Genifique- 7 Day trial Sample Size
- This is a very pricey serum. For me personally I did not have an issue with it. The serum did a good job hydrating my skin. Would I buy this full price....naah I didn't find this to be a wow factor so not going to waste my money on the full size. The samples were nice to try but not going to splurge on this one.

6. Simple Make up wipes
- These wipes broke me out. I thought that these wipes would be great but instead they broke me out! Thank god they are done! I just hope that their moisturizer doesn't do the same thing to me, because these wipes came in a kit with the moisturizer... I will keep ya'll posted on that.

7. Big Night out Almond Oil Hair Mask
- This little pouch came in a take home spa kit from Chapters. Me and my girlfriend thought it would be cool to test that set out. Well the face mask and eye de-puffers were usable, this hair mask was horrible. Did not make my hair feel conditioned or hydrated. In fact this mask make my hair feel drier than before! Thank God this kit was a one time thing. Moving on now.

8. Hairtrition Mask
- LOVE LOVE LOVE this 3 minute hair mask. WOW does wonder for your hair. Has amazing natural ingredients to help hydrate and prevent breakage. I only used it once and just from that I am definitely going to get the full size of this baby. This can be found at your Sally's beauty supply.

9. Philosophy Time in a bottle- Sample
- Another serum sample that was just meh for me. If I am ever going to buy a serum it has to wow me, and this serum was mediocre. Nothing special, mind you they didn't even give enough product to actually see any long term improvements. Oh well, next!

10. Lush Mask of Magnaminty
- I have talked about this in my Clarisonic Diaries posts. (If you haven't read those WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GO READ THEM :) Links are below ) Love this mask, it has done great things in assisting in clearing up my problematic acne. Fresh ingredients because..uh hello its LUSH! Smells amazing and really does help pull out all the impurities on your face. Love it, already repurchased the bigger tub!

11. Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover
- I have posted my nail care routine and this baby is always apart of it. Go check out my link below for my nail care routine. This product can be found any where that sells Sally Hanson products. This stuff takes away all your dead cuticle skin without you having to snip at your cuticles. Girl if you snip your cuticles STOP! Snipping those cuticles makes them angry which is why they keep getting drier and crustier!
This baby helps out when you do your manicure and need to remove those dead cuticles.

12. Pantene ProV Travel Conditioner
- Had this in my beauty bin for a while and just wanted to use it up because it was just bothering me sitting there. Yes I know I am annal. Decent drug store conditioner if you are looking for one. Does the job and helps de-tangling once you are out of the shower.

13. NARS Tinted Moisturizer- Sample
- Really enjoyed this sample of the tinted moisturizer. This shade Medium1 was way to light for me so I had to bronze it up. But the formulation of the moisturizer is much more hydrating than the MAC Tinted moisturizer. Really did like it, and will be going to grab the full size in the future. Ps. NARS is pricey so make sure if you can get your hands on a sample first then you won't feel bad if you end up spending your hard earned money on the full size if you end up liking the product.

14. Growth Spurt Nail strengthener
- This too is part of my nail care routine. Love this as a base coat, keeps my nails strong and constantly growing like weeds! This is my holy grail base coat to keep my nails looking the way they do. You can find this at Sally's Beauty Supply.

15. Shiseido Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream- Sample
- Nice moisturizer. Did the trick in hydrating, would consider getting the full size in the future once I finish all my other moisturizer creams. This product can be found at Sephora.

Well everyone that was my February beauty empties! Hope you got some info out of this post! Leave me a comment down below on the stuff you have finished this month!

November Beauty Favorites 2013

Back again with my November Favorites. Some repeats but some newbies as well but this post will be a brief quick one, I know a lot of us are still trying to get things done before the holidays. I can not believe that it is December already! November used to be a long month for me. Anyways lets jump in:

1. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
- I have been reaching for this palette all month. Love the neutrals in this baby, the shadows are very easy to blend and buttery. I did a full review on this palette so if you want to go check out that review click below:

2. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin
- This drug store option is awesome. The formula of these are great for the winter time because they are not too creamy and not too powdery. Easy to blend and affordable. Love it.

3. Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Cat eye mascara in Glam Black
- Love, Love, Love this mascara. I have a review with photos of my lashes below. Go check it out if you haven't seen my review. Once you read it, then you will know why I love it.

4. Stila Eyeshadow in Coco
- I have had this shadow for months and I love this shadow for blending in the crease. AMAZING pigmentation and blend ability. Very easy to work with and been using this all month as well. These are priced in the $20 range but they are so worth it, and you get a good amount of product.

5. Nivea Pure & Natural Mint and Minerals lip balm
- LOVE this balm. I have mentioned it a few times. Use it at night time before bed and in the morning my lips are perfection. It is a great light formula that works and it is affordable at the drug store.

6. Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
- I have to say this is a my ultimate favorite shower body conditioner for winter time. The amount of moisture this baby gives my skin is delightful. My skin feels like it has drunk the entire lake up with how hydrated my skin feels after using this product. You wash your body then rinse, then apply this conditioner wait a minute or so then rinse and you feel like a delectable dessert. No lie go get a sample at Lush and I will say I TOLD YOU SO. This product is pricey but so worth the splurge for winter.

7. It's a 10 Miracle leave in plush Keratin
- I have mentioned this one too in a previous favorite. LOVE IT! Leaves my hair feeling soft, silky, detangles, and keeps my hair straight when I flat iron it. This product also acts as a heat protectant. Awesome stuff. I can't live without it now.

8. Macadamia Wide Tooth Comb
- This was the best $5 I spent. This wide tooth comb is great for after the shower combing through knots and prepping your hair for blow drying. Can't live without this comb either.

9. Proactiv Solutionns Refining Mask
- OK I have not enough words to tell you how much I love this mask. I get serious hormonal break outs around that time of the month...sometimes it is not that time of the month. This mask I rely on to keep those break outs at bay before they become cystic. Not pretty. Love this mask and yes I have a back up of it because this baby is almost empty.

10. Lush Lip Scrub in mint juleps
- Love this little guy for exfoliating before bed. Keeps my lushes lips hydrated and dead skin free in these cold winter month. We all know these cold winter months do not do us any justice when it comes to beauty. LOL

11. Vitafusion Multivites gummy vitamins
- Love these vitamins. Got them at Wal Mart and they are much easier to take then those honken horse pills that no one can swallow. A huge jar of 150 is about $8 :) such a bargain.

Until next time beauty lovers <3
Stay safe during this holiday season!
