Whats new at SEPHORA Part 2 (Gift Ideas) : GlamGlow Gift Sexy

Ola beauties lovers. Another What's new at Sephora post today. I tell this to everyone who loves beauty. If you are not willing to spend the expensive amount of money on one full size GlamGlow mask, this time of the year is when you should splurge on a GlamGlow gift set and get more product for the money you are spending.

Sephora is offering the GlamGlow Gift Sexy set. Which comes with the following:
This set contains:
-1.7 oz THIRSTYMUD™ Hydrating Treatment
- 0.5 oz SUPERMUD™ Clearing Treatment
- 0.5 oz YOUTHMUD™ Tinglexfoliate Treatment

Sephora Claims the following- http://www.sephora.com/gift-sexy-P389000?keyword=GLAMGLOW%20Gift%20Sexy%20P389000&skuId=1651934&country_switch=ca&_requestid=62604

What it is formulated to do:
This trio of products reveals smooth, hydrated, healthy-looking skin. The non-drying Hydrating Treatment mask delivers instant, extreme hydration while replenishing, restoring, and calming the skin. The multitasking Clearing Treatment helps fight all common skin concerns for mind-blowing results, leaving you with seemingly poreless skin. The Tinglexfoliate Treatment contains super antioxidants and minerals that work together to tingle, exfoliate, brighten, tighten, and resurface in as little as 10 minutes, leaving you with a youthful radiant complexion.

Speaking based on having tried all these three masks, I have to say I love the GlamGlow mask collection. This gift set is going for $76.00 Canadian, and $69.00 American. Which is equaled to the cost of a full size GlamGlow mask. So if you think about it, it is more worth the money to purchase the set so you get more product out of it then you normally would if you purchased the normal full size jar. P.s. A full size GlamGlow Jar is 1.3oz. So theoretically you are getting a little bit more than twice the amount of product for the cost of one jar.

1.7 oz THIRSTYMUD™ Hydrating Treatment
  • This mask is by far an amazing mask for the colder months. Smells like coconuts, pretty much smells tropical. Makes you feel like you are away on vacation. This mask can be used for a short 10 min facial or you can use it as a sleep mask as well. I love sleeping with it on. The next morning my face looks so radiant and plump, as if I was reborn with the perfect skin. This is the largest jar you get, and it is the best for this time of year. P.s When you apply to the face you only need the most thin layer to apply to the face.

0.5 oz SUPERMUD™ Clearing Treatment
  • This is another one of my top favorite masks to use. Before I started going to the dermatologist, I received some samples of this puppy, and I kid you not when I say that this mask brought down my cystic acne dramatically over 3 uses. I was so impressed. Ever since I purchased a full size, AND I now have a travel size from this gift set as well. This mask will pull all impurities out of your skin and you will be able to physically see it on the surface of your skin once the mask dries, before you wash it away. Amazing technology, two thumbs up in my book. What I do is because I don't want to waste it on the entire face, I only use it as a spot treatment where I need it to get rid of any acne breakouts or spots. The smell of it reminds me of menthol but that doesn't bother me. If you like minty smells then you wouldn't mind it.

0.5 oz YOUTHMUD™ Tinglexfoliate Treatment

  •  Out of these three masks, this mask is my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it, really if you think about it, who wouldn't enjoy a high end facial mask? But the tingling aspect of this mask, along with the pieces of Green Tea Leaf pieces mixed in there kinda makes me trip out a bit. You know what I mean? Like what is the tea leaf pieces really going to do to my skin except for scrape my skin. I wouldn't say it's a gentile exfoliate at all. But if your skin can take a harsh exfoliate knock yourself out! I mean I will still use it since it came in the package, I am just glad this one came in the smaller size.

This set is a bit more on the higher end of the cost scale, but it is still less than $100 and any girl on the receiving end of this gift set will definitely be kissing you thanks since these masks are the top rated in the beauty world at the moment. Guys take note!

Good luck all with your Holiday Shopping!

Stay tuned for Part 3 !

Until next time beauty lovers! <3

Whats new at SEPHORA Part 1 (Gift Ideas) : Beauty Unmasked

Ola beauty lovers! So I am starting a new series. What is new at Sephora? This will give you guys and gals some ideas on gifts for this coming holiday season. I know we all have that stress of having to purchase gifts in bulk before the good old December 25th. So I am hear to help you all out on some ideas that you can pick up for under $100 .

Today's gift set is the Sephora Favorites Beauty Unmasked gift set. This is limited edition so if you want to jump on it now is the time!

This Set Contains:
- 1.7 oz Origins Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores
- 1 oz Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
- 0.5 oz Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask
- 0.5 oz Glamglow Thirstymud™ Hydrating Treatment

Sephora's website explains this set as below: http://www.sephora.com/beauty-unmasked-P389039?keyword=sephora%20unmasked&skuId=1636901&country_switch=ca&_requestid=48162

What it is formulated to do:
Calm, resurface, and treat skin concerns with these four mask formulas from our top brands. Clear Improvements is a charcoal-based detox mask, which draws out impurities and clears pores as it dries. Peel-off the week with Luminizing Black Mask, which removes dirt and impurities while gently exfoliating to reveal fresh, luminous skin. Thirsty Mud is a non-drying hydration mask that melts in to deliver instant, extreme hydration. Cucumber Gel Mask helps soothe, hydrate, and detoxify dry, irritated skin.

I have used three out of the four masks in this set. I love all three of them. The fourth mask Boscia black mask I have yet to test out, but that is why I love these holiday sets. You get more for what you spend.

Speaking of spending, this set is going for $37 Canadian Dollars, $29 American Dollars. So needless to say this is a great deal. All four masks are high end masks. They do all kinds of wonders to the skin. Consider this your spa night at home.

1.7 oz Origins Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores
  • When I first tried the Origins Charcoal Mask I was using it wrong. When I removed it from my face, I would remove it with a warm face cloth, but my skin would be Rosie afterward. So I decided to remove the mask only with medium warm water and my finger tips. Which did an amazing job and my skin looks radiant after ward. This charcoal mask is to act as a mask that pulls all impurities out of your skin. All the gunk and dirt etc. If you can't afford the GlamGlow Supermud clearing mask, then this would be your next best charcoal mask to try to remove all the crap from your skin. Just trust me, make sure you use warm water and your finger tips only to remove it from your skin. You can thank me later! Ps. Full size price for this product is $29 Canadian, and $25 American.

1 oz Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
  •  Ok, so I have not yet tried this mask as of yet. But this mask was one of the reasons why I wanted this set. Why ? Because it intrigued me. This is what the Sephora Website claims for the Boscia Black Mask
What it is formulated to do:
This jet-black, mineral-rich mask creates a unique peel-off effect that delivers powerful detoxifying, purifying, and brightening results. Made with a premier-quality clay, its deep-cleansing properties draw out dirt and oil. Other natural ingredients go to work exfoliating skin and refining pores. Powerful antioxidants shrink pores, firm skin, and reduce inflammation. Once dried, the mask strips away dead skin, impurities and excess oil to reveal immediate and visible results.

  • After reading the above, do you see now why I am intrigued to try this baby out? Will keep you posted, but I figured buying this set would be more worth it for me because I can try this mask and get three other masks I love and enjoy using.
  • This mask in full size is $42 Canadian, $34 American.

0.5 oz Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask
  • This mask is AMAZING for hydration! The trick to this mask is, put the gel mask in the fridge to cool. Then apply to the skin and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. You will see the results x5 when you put this in the fridge to chill for a couple minutes prior to application. This is a great mask to rehydrate your skin, especially with the colder months coming. When it is chilled prior, it gives your skin a plump radiance to your skin once you rinse it off. Once of my all time face masks for hydration.
  • This mask in full size is $45 Canadian, $34 American.

0.5 oz Glamglow Thirstymud™ Hydrating Treatment
  • What can I say about the famous GlamGlow products? I know I know, they are dang expensive. Which is another reason why I picked up this set because it came with the thirsty mud mask. With the colder weather here, my skin just dries up and I moisturize and moisturize and sometimes it feels like its just never enough! This GlamGlow mask is AMAZING! You can apply a thin layer before bed and sleep with it on over night. When you wake up in the morning OMG, your skin looks luscious and plump like its never been exposed to the harsh environment.
  • Take advantage of these high end gift sets because this is where you can control your spending and get more brands to try at a lesser cost!
  • Full size this mask costs $76 Canadian, $69 American

This is one of the top gift sets any woman would enjoy if she loves the beauty industry. Even if you are looking for yourself, believe me you do not want to pass up on this set while you can get your hands on it! Like I said before, you can thank me later :)

Stay tuned for Part 2 coming soon! xo

Until next time beauty lovers! <3

Clarisonic Diaries July 9th 2014

Ola beauty lovers! I haven't updated you all on my journey with the Clarisonic over the last few months. Things have been hectic. But good news is my skin has been doing well.

I only use my Clarisonic once a week now, if that some times I use it once every two weeks depending on how much makeup I have been wearing over the past few days. I have been making sure I use some sort of cleanser with either Tea Tree oil, salicylic acid, or retinal. I tend to stay more to Tea Tree oil or salicylic acid.
There is another ingredient that keeps break outs down but I forgot what its called.

The only thing I have changed is the mask I use when my cystic acne comes along. The Glam Glow Super Clearing treatment mud mask is my new savoir. That stuff although is so expensive works like gold! Now I know it is not a product a lot of us can afford but if you go into Sephora and ask for a sample size, bring it home try it out and see for your self. A sample size should last you a few times. Don't use it all over the face just spot treatment it to save on product. This baby pulls out all the crap in your pores and you see it in real life in front of you. It's gross but so cool.

Other then that I still use my moisture masks here and there if I feel my skin needs a drink of water. I usually mask 2 to 3 times a week for different things. Just pampering myself like that at home helps de-stress.

Side note I have made an appointment with a dermatologist next week to further discuss my skin issues and hopefully I can learn more from the doctor. I really want to avoid using prescription products since I am a Sun girl, I can not stay out of the sun during this time of year. Let's hope and pray my situation isn't as serious as other peoples I have seen.

With my skin clearer, I am able to wear light make up foundation and feel really good about it. Below is a photo I just took today, and I am not wearing much make up at all. My chin is clear and I feel great. Keep in mind I just finished my period so any woman's skin looks great when her cycle re starts every month, BUT this month was not bad at all compared to past months I dealt with.

That is it for now ladies! I will keep you posted on what the doctor says next week!

Until next time beauty lovers <3

Beauty Empties: February 2014

Ola beauty lovers! It is that time of the month again, they just come so quick. My beauty empties! I am jumping right into it because I have a bit of stuff. Enjoy !

1. Pauly D Bronzing Tanning lotion
- Love this tanning lotion. I have been using this for so long now, I bought a second bottle of it because I love it so much. I did a review on this baby last year for more details go check out my link below.

http://macgirl25.blogspot.ca/2013/08/pauly-d-bronze-beats-tanning-lotion.html

2. MJ Face Mask in Green Tea & Ginger Peel off
- Love this line of home face masks. They are affordable, you can find them at any drug store and they help you relax which is KEY! I mention these in almost every empties. This one was my last one of my stash. I have a few other mask brands to test out and report but I always tend to re purchase these babies.

3.Bath & Body Works Candle in Pumpkin Caramel Latte
- So glad I finished this scent. This scent is TOO SWEET and it gave me the worst head aches upon head aches when I would burn it. Thank God I finished it. Love Bath & Body Works Candles but hate this scent now lol.

4. Vita Fusion Multi Vites Gummy Vitamins
- Love this brand of vitamins. I don't know about you but I hate swallowing massive pills. So I opted for the gummy because they are easy to take and go. I am a busy woman, full time job, blogger and YouTuber on the side, not to mention my lovey boyfriend and family. I am always on the go, I need taking vitamins to be quick and painless.

5. Lancome Genifique- 7 Day trial Sample Size
- This is a very pricey serum. For me personally I did not have an issue with it. The serum did a good job hydrating my skin. Would I buy this full price....naah I didn't find this to be a wow factor so not going to waste my money on the full size. The samples were nice to try but not going to splurge on this one.

6. Simple Make up wipes
- These wipes broke me out. I thought that these wipes would be great but instead they broke me out! Thank god they are done! I just hope that their moisturizer doesn't do the same thing to me, because these wipes came in a kit with the moisturizer... I will keep ya'll posted on that.

7. Big Night out Almond Oil Hair Mask
- This little pouch came in a take home spa kit from Chapters. Me and my girlfriend thought it would be cool to test that set out. Well the face mask and eye de-puffers were usable, this hair mask was horrible. Did not make my hair feel conditioned or hydrated. In fact this mask make my hair feel drier than before! Thank God this kit was a one time thing. Moving on now.

8. Hairtrition Mask
- LOVE LOVE LOVE this 3 minute hair mask. WOW does wonder for your hair. Has amazing natural ingredients to help hydrate and prevent breakage. I only used it once and just from that I am definitely going to get the full size of this baby. This can be found at your Sally's beauty supply.

9. Philosophy Time in a bottle- Sample
- Another serum sample that was just meh for me. If I am ever going to buy a serum it has to wow me, and this serum was mediocre. Nothing special, mind you they didn't even give enough product to actually see any long term improvements. Oh well, next!

10. Lush Mask of Magnaminty
- I have talked about this in my Clarisonic Diaries posts. (If you haven't read those WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GO READ THEM :) Links are below ) Love this mask, it has done great things in assisting in clearing up my problematic acne. Fresh ingredients because..uh hello its LUSH! Smells amazing and really does help pull out all the impurities on your face. Love it, already repurchased the bigger tub!

http://macgirl25.blogspot.ca/search?q=Clarisonic+diaries

11. Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover
- I have posted my nail care routine and this baby is always apart of it. Go check out my link below for my nail care routine. This product can be found any where that sells Sally Hanson products. This stuff takes away all your dead cuticle skin without you having to snip at your cuticles. Girl if you snip your cuticles STOP! Snipping those cuticles makes them angry which is why they keep getting drier and crustier!
This baby helps out when you do your manicure and need to remove those dead cuticles.

http://macgirl25.blogspot.ca/2013/08/current-nail-care-routine.html

12. Pantene ProV Travel Conditioner
- Had this in my beauty bin for a while and just wanted to use it up because it was just bothering me sitting there. Yes I know I am annal. Decent drug store conditioner if you are looking for one. Does the job and helps de-tangling once you are out of the shower.

13. NARS Tinted Moisturizer- Sample
- Really enjoyed this sample of the tinted moisturizer. This shade Medium1 was way to light for me so I had to bronze it up. But the formulation of the moisturizer is much more hydrating than the MAC Tinted moisturizer. Really did like it, and will be going to grab the full size in the future. Ps. NARS is pricey so make sure if you can get your hands on a sample first then you won't feel bad if you end up spending your hard earned money on the full size if you end up liking the product.

14. Growth Spurt Nail strengthener
- This too is part of my nail care routine. Love this as a base coat, keeps my nails strong and constantly growing like weeds! This is my holy grail base coat to keep my nails looking the way they do. You can find this at Sally's Beauty Supply.

15. Shiseido Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream- Sample
- Nice moisturizer. Did the trick in hydrating, would consider getting the full size in the future once I finish all my other moisturizer creams. This product can be found at Sephora.

Well everyone that was my February beauty empties! Hope you got some info out of this post! Leave me a comment down below on the stuff you have finished this month!

Clarisonic Diaries: February 5th, 2014

Ola Beauty Lovers! My journey with the Clarisonic has been an interesting one since I purchased it with my own dollar bills back in the beginning of November 2013. My skin has had its up and downs, and for the first while it was down, way down. But after a lot of tender love and care my skin is slowly but surely looking great again. A few entries ago I showed you the horrifying breakouts my face was hosting. I know bad, my girlfriend asks me all the time how I had the courage to post those. My response was, honey I am not ashamed, its a common issue that most people encounter at one time in the their life or another.

My skin care routine hasn't changed too much since my last post in this series. I still use the Clarisonic once or twice a week at most. I wash my face twice a day and I always make sure I remove my make up off before bed every night. Any dermatologist will tell you that is the number one rule, always take off your make up before bed. I still exfoliate without the Clarisonic once a week, and I always make time for face masks.

I have changed up my facial cleanser. Right now I am using Estee Lauder Sparkling Cleaning oil control foaming cleanser. This cleanser is great!Very light weight and gets the job done. Let me know in the comments below if you want a full review on this cleanser. Other then that the rest of my products have not changed.

For my non Clarisonic exfoliant I have been using the Lush Ocean Salt. Love this product for exfoliating the face. The salt is sea salt and not abrasive, very gentile on the skin. The scent really smells fresh which I love as well. I usually use this product once a week. You can use it as many times as you need to exfoliate depending on your individual skin care needs, but I personally only use it once a week.

When I use the Clarisonic, I will either use my Estee Lauder cleanser or the Clarisonic cleanser that came with the tool. Realistically you don't need to buy another cleanser to use with the Clarisonic. What every cleanser you are using at that time, just use that with the Clarisonic.

My favorite skin care past time is masking. I just love the whole process of it all. It is my time to wind down and relax in peace with a cup of tea and a book. Anyway, the mask I have been going back to is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty face and body mask. Love this mask, it's great for pulling out all the impurities out of your face to prevent and help heal acne and bad break outs. Bonus is this mask is made with all natural ingredients. I try to mask about twice or three times a week if I can because it does help my skin keep pimples away or at least tame the break outs I do have.

I love the Proactiv Refining Mask. It is pricey but it does help when you have those random isolated break outs. Apply a tiny bit to the pimple, leave on over night for best results, or leave on for 30mins to an hour and you will notice that sucker starts to break down and disappear. This puppy I don't use often, I try to savor this for real emergencies before big events. But this one is a great one, just love it as well. You can use this as a full on mask, which I do once in a while, but mostly I use this to spot treat.

This month has been decent. My break outs that I have gotten around that time of the month are not severe like the photos I showed you before. These break outs have been minor and manageable. Which is great! The key is to balance everything out. My diet hasn't changed from the last entry. I have still cut out junk food, but I will still splurge every now and then on a sweet or salty snack. My stress levels are still high, but I am trying to keep them tamed so that my skin doesn't go all bonkers. I have been working out, though however this last week and half I haven't been to the gym due to my head cold I managed to catch in this brutal winter weather. Not surprising, it happens every year to me. But I plan to get back to the gym hopefully by this weekend.

So far so good, every month seems to be improving my complexion. I am praying with the warmer weather it will be even better but let's see how that goes.

Until next time beauty lovers <3
