Quick Review: Murad Clarifying Mask

Ola beauty lovers! I am just on a role with product reviews lately. I have been trying out a couple products to give you guys and gals my feedback on if it's worth the money or not.

As you may know from a few posts back I had a horrifying experience using the Murad Clarifying Facial Cleanser. WELL I was a trooper and that did not scare me away from Murad completely. I feel that I have this want to try products out to save you guys some headache and/or money if I can.

Now don't think that I went and purchased this product! Hell no, the girls at Sephora gave me a couple samples for me to test out for the week. Today's topic is the Murad Clarifying Mask. Ideally this would go in conjunction with the Murad Clarifying cleanser, BUT since the cleanser is a big no no in my books. I just used it on its own.

With any facial mask, before applying always ensure that you cleanse your skin well. Pat your skin dry and then apply the mask. This mask is a creamy white texture, easy to apply, slightly tingles on the skin like most clarifying masks do.

My thoughts on this product you may be wondering? Well.....the good news is that my skin did NOT break out in hives like it did with the cleanser. To be completely honest, the mask did not do much at all. I have used clarifying masks before from different brands, so I know when it's working and when it's not. This Murad clarifying mask only worked as an average drug store mask would.

Which brings me to my next point. The price is $37.00 for 2.05oz. Since the product works equivalent to a drug store brand, why spend triple the money when you can pick up a freeman mask or queen helen mask at a lesser cost?

Oh but I am not done my friends. Looking through the ingredients of this product, the product contains, not one, not two, but has five different types of parabens! Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben....YIKES

My total thoughts? Well, I won't be spending close to $40 on a mask that works as an average mask. If you consumers are unsure for yourself, pop in to Sephora and ask for a sample size for you to try. Some products that don't work for me may work for you. Or they may not work for you. It's up to you to make your own decision. Based on reviews on the Sephora Website, there are a lot of people who enjoy this product. This is just my views on the products and how it worked for my skin. P.s. I have oily combination skin on average, in case anyone is wondering.

Until next time beauty lovers!
