Beauty Christmas Wish List 2015

Hello My Beauties,

I know it’s been a long time since I posted on my blog. I have been really busy with my full time job and my YouTube channel, my blog has been put last on my list for now. BUT I am back, and I will try to post here more often. There is nothing like reading to relax.
Today’s topic is my Beauty Christmas Wish list for 2015. I have a ton of items on my wish list, just like any beauty lover does. But I narrowed it down to my top 5 items I want to splurge on myself for the holidays.

Nars Steven Klein Collaboration One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette ($92 C)

  • This is on my wish list this year because NARS has expensive blushes individually and the best way to get more bang for your buck is Holiday Palettes. This palette comes  with 4 Blushes, 2 Contour Blushes, and 1 Bronzing powder. This is a palette worth $192, but at Sephora is $92 Canadian. You save basically $100 on the palette of products. LOVE IT! This is my top item I want for this year in beauty.

Beauty blender two original beauty blenders® & liquid blender cleanser® ($50 C)

  •   If you are a beauty lover, then you can never have enough beauty blenders. “They” say that you should change your beauty blender every 3 months. I try to keep my beauty sponges as sanitized as I possibly can. So mine stretch a bit longer than 3 months. However, you still need to replace them, and to get two beauty blenders in a pack for a little over the price of one is a steal. This set comes with two beauty blender sponges , and one liquid blender cleanser for $50 at Sephora. Each beauty blender single is worth $28 Canadian, and the cleanser is $25 Canadian for 5 oz. This set is worth over a $80 value and you only paying $50. That’s a $30 savings! Do you see my readers who much more you get for your buck when you take advantage of this time of years value sets?

Ole Henriksen The Works Kit ($47 C)

  • Personally for me, I love to stock up at this time of year on Skin care products. Ole Henriksen is a great brand for skin care of all ages. Their products individually are a bit pricey, but again during this time of year, they come out with these amazing gift sets for you to be able to try a good group of their skin care products. This set particularly is one of my favorites, and it’s under $50 range. It comes with Invigorating night treatment gel, African red tea foaming cleanser, sheer transformation moisturizer, ultimate lift eye gel, and the truth serum collagen booster.  This set is amazing for those skin care lovers who want to try close to everything. What I love most of this brand is that these products are formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. To try all these products for under $50 is a definite MUST! To try all these products for under $50 is a definite MUST!
  • - PhTo try all these products for under $50 is a definite MUST!
- Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates- Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates- Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates

  Agave Smoothing Trio ($39 C)

  • With this winter cold weather, it’s very important to change up your hair care products like you do with your skin care. Heavier hydrating products such as oils during the colder months is ok for your hair. I have been dying to try this Agave set for a long time, and this is a perfect set to try 3 products from the line for under $40! It comes with a Smoothing shampoo, smoothing conditioner, and their hair oil treatment. Ladies and gentlemen please make sure you keep your hair hydrated during these colder months.  This line of products also is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. Added bonus!

MAC Oval 6 Brush ($50.50 C)

  • My last item on my wish list (but definitely not least) Is the MAC oval 6 brush. I saw this brush being used on a model one day I was at a MAC Class. I was totally blown way on the finish this brush gave liquid foundation on the skin. My opinion is when it comes to brushes, I don’t mind investing in them because I know I take care of them and they will last me a life time. So I am definitely going to be getting this brush for myself as a Christmas gift. Sometimes you just need to splurge a little on yourself. If you are ever unsure of any beauty products to try for yourself, know that you can never go wrong with investing in good makeup brushes. They will last you a long time, as long as you take care of them, and it does make a difference on the application of your makeup whether you are using high end or drug store products.

Well that is my top 5 beauty wish list for this year, let me know what you all are wishing for this holiday season. I wish all of you Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year.

Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix & Pencil

Ola beauty lovers! I know, I have been missing in action lately, well if you don't follow me on my YouTube channel, you should, and you would know my house has been undergoing renovations after the new year so I had limited time to blog and vlog.

Today's topic is a product review on ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie stix and pencils.

ColourPop is an affordable cosmetic company, that provides decent products for an affordable price.

I recently purchased with my own money, 2 Lippie Stix and their matching pencil liner. Lumiere is the colour that KathleenLights on YouTube created, and Frida is the colour CoffeebreakwithDani created. I love both YouTubers so I went for it and purchased their lip products to see how good they are.

Well, let me say, ColourPop is an appreciative company. Upon receiving my order they included a cute personal note hand written to me with my name and all saying how much they thank me for my purchase etc. I thought that was a cute touch. Makes the customer feel appreciated, because if you think about it, if it was not for customers these companies would not be any where.

The lip pencils and lip sticks are so easy to apply and comfortable to wear. They glide on nicely, hydrated , and so very pigmented. Although the lipsticks have this strange scent to them, that is a bit off but once you apply them to the lips the scent fades completely away  so its tolerable.

Their lip products have Shae butter, and vitamin E infused in them to help keep the lips hydrated and not dry.
They are smooth on the lips and stay on the lips. As it wears off over time the product wears evenly so that's a bonus.
The packaging is sleek and simple in white opaque plastic. Easy to travel with.
The best part of it, is the price, $5 per lip product! So affordable and the quality is very good for the price you pay.

So to wrap it up, these lip products are a thumbs up in my book!

If you are interested at all to check these products out the web site is listed below: and no I am not affiliated with this company, these are my own opinions as always! I keep it real people.

Summer Essentials: Makeup & Face

Ola beauty lovers! I have sitting here enjoying the beautiful sunshine when it donned on me that Summer is here! That means there are some summer beauty and hair products that are just a MUST for me during this season and I am sharing them with you so that you can pick them up and try out for yourself.

Now go grab your pen and paper while I sit here and wait. Go on, I am waiting....

Good now that your ready to take notes I am diving in, lets get started:

1. Sunscreen - Body and Face- Neutrogena Wet Skin ($19)
  • Now we all need to protect ourselves from the harsh damage the sun can do to us humans. Therefore a sunscreen is important. I use this Neutrogena Wet Skin sunscreen for ALL over my body, including face. Why you may ask? Am I crazy? Well no, I'm not crazy. First off this amazing sunscreen is sweat proof, waterproof, and can be applied to wet or dry skin. So right there it's convenient. It is also oil free, PABA free and hypoallergenic. Plus it's dermatological tested. Which means I can use this also on my FACE! BONUS! This brand of sunscreen comes in 30SPF or 60SPF UVA/UVB protection. I have the 60SPF because you just never know. This baby is a bit more on the pricey side but well worth it since it has a lot of benefits. You can find this at your local drug stores.

2. Lip Balm- EOS ($3-$4)
  •  I don't leave my house without a lip balm any time of the year period. But when you are on the beach or at the cottage in the sun your lips can tend to dry out and crack....well at least mine do for some odd reason. So I always make sure I slather on a lip balm. It's preferred to use a balm with SPF especially if you are out in the sun, but even the EOS balms are great, they are 100% natural and 95% organic.  They are affordable and their scents are great! You can find these also at your local drug stores.

3. Sunglasses- Aldo ($12)
  • With the brightness going on outside, you need to have at least 1 pair of sunglasses. Every time your outside you must put them on to protect those eyes.

4. Bright Nail polish- Kit Cosmetics ($4 each)
  • Ladies, you must crack open your bright nail polishes! This is the time of year to flaunt them, wear them, enjoy them! I have so many brights that my spring/summer is filled with different brights weekly! These can be found at your local drug store. Very affordable too! :)

5. BB Cream- Garnier ($15)
  • For those of you who need some coverage on the face or to just even out your skin tone. A BB Cream is a great summer time option. Most BB creams come with SPF protection so you don't have to worry about that. This one is my ultimate favorites, and it can be found at the drug stores. Which means more affordable than most high end BB creams. This one is very light weight, and provides coverage, enough to even out your skin tone. Make sure ladies you get the oily combination skin type one so that it is oil free.

6. Bronzing Powder - MAC Bronzing Powder "Refined Golden" ($30 CDN)
  • Everyone needs a bronzing powder for the summer time. My current favorite is the MAC cosmetics bronzer. Yes I know it is a bit pricey. Another affordable option at the drug store can be Milani Baked bronzer's or the Wet n' Wild Bronzer's. Or even the Physicians Formula Bronzing powders are great as well! But the one I use lately all the time is my MAC one. It does have some golden flex to it, but it really just helps your skin glow like JLO!

7. Bright Lipstick- Milani "Rose Hip" ($5-$7)
  •  With the warm weather, we think of tropical colors. Well I know I do. That makes me want to always be wearing a bright ass lipstick. It's fun, it's colorful, why not? The best affordable bright lipstick I own and enjoy is the Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the shade "Rose Hip". This is basically a HOT PINK and its gorgeous! Again these can be found at your drug stores. In Canada they are found at the Superstores.

Well ladies, that was it for Summer Essentials for Makeup and Face. Leave me comments to let me know if you want to see Summer Essentials for Hair and Skin.

Quick tip: over expired Mac lip products

Ola beauty lovers! It is Saturday and usually Saturdays are my filming days for my youtube channel. But since it was nice out today for once here in Toronto I decided to skip the filming and lay out side in the sun. Yes I wore sun screen for those of you who are wondering. So I spent a couple hours outside to get my bronzey glow on because girl you know how it is when you are getting glamed up in the summer time, the tan is a must.

Anyways so I come back into my room before I head into the shower and I glance randomly at my lipgloss drawer and said hmmm that drawer is looking a bit too full. Maybe it's time I go through it and see what lip glosses are bad for me to throw out. I know, I know, products you bought and some point now your gonna throw them away?!

Well yes. Hate to break it to ya but lip glosses have a life span and I had some Mac glosses that have been around for ages so I knew I had a couple that must have gone ratchet. How can you tell when a Mac lipgloss goes bad you ask? Well it's simple, you know how Mac lip products usually smell like vanilla sweet scent? That's when you have the green light that they are still ok to use. But when your lippies from Mac begin to smell like play dough that's how you know it's time to get rid of them! You definately don't want to put that on your lips when it smells like that! Yuck!

So how many glosses did I throw out you may be curious to know? Good news is I only had to throw out two of the handful and a half that I own :)

Go through your stash of Mac lippies and test them out, if you are smelling play dough instead of that sweet vanilla smell then you know it's time to get rid of them.

I put the two bad glosses in my back to Mac bag so that once I have six empties I am bringing them back for a free gloss or lipstick :)

Until next time beauty lovers ❤️

The Body Shop Skin Care Tea Tree line

Ola beauty lovers. As you know I have been going through some acne issues over the last 8 months or so. My hormonal break outs were getting out of control. I was trying everything, plus I had introduced the Clarisonic into my life which in the beginning made my skin look horrifying. If you haven't read my Clarisonic Diaries go check out my older posts and see the excruciating type of acne I was dealing with.

One day watching YouTube Beauty videos (because that is my favorite hobby at the moment) I saw this girl (sorry don't remember who she was) talking about the Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Line. I thought to myself hmmm, I wonder if I should try this? Well looking at the prices on line this brand was pretty expensive. Full price the Face Mask was $18, the daytime lotion was $14 and the night time lotion was $18. That is pricey, so I held off, and sort of forgot about it.

Then walking around in the mall one day, I pass the warehouse version of the body shop to see signs galore by 4 items get 40% off your entire purchase! So I figured this is the perfect time to try the tea tree products I had my eye on a while ago.

I walked out of that store with four items:
1.Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser,
2.Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion,
3.Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion,
4. and the Tea Tree Face Mask.

After trying the face mask for the first time, I was hooked. The mask helps calm and lessen the redness of blemishes and break outs after the first use. My skin,  no joke looked even better after the second use. The mask as become a staple in my skin care regime. The mask is a mud mask consistency. When it dries, it does not feel over tight, or peeling. Once it dries, wash it off with warm water and your finger tips. You skin will never feel the same as before again.

The foaming cleanser is decent. It provides a cleanser feel, without over drying your skin to the point of dehydration. Very enjoyable.

The Night lotion is a thicker consistency cream, when you apply it at night after you wash your face, it helps keep those break outs and blemishes at bay while your skin repairs over night.

The day time lotion is a thinner consistency cream, more water based when you put it on in the morning before your make up, it hydrates, disinfects your skin without having to deal with dry patches. This morning lotion is such a great day time cream, that your skin breathes under your makeup without any congesting issues.

All these products are amazing. Not greasy, easy to apply, rubs well into the skin, and easy to wash off. They do not strip the skin of natural oils, which is so great, and to top all that off, they are paraben free!

Yes I have to admit regular price these guys are a tad expensive, but when you compare these to Proactiv they are a bit cheaper compared to some higher end acne treatment lines. Sort of like middle price range you can say.

Since I have been using these products, I noticed my skin clearing up a bit more then where I was at before with my acne issue. My chin (which is were I have most of my acne issues) has cleared up a lot. Don't get me wrong, I still have the odd blemish here or there during the month, BUT my cystic acne, and my really severe break outs have diminished to the point of non-existent, which is great for me.

Check out some photos below on what the products look like, in case you are interested in picking some up for yourself.  Let me know by commenting if you have already tried this line and what you think of it?

Spring has Sprung Makeup

Ola beauty lovers! I know it has been a hot minute since I have been to report to you the latest and hottest items. I promise I will be posting some updated posts on what is "in" at the moment. But first let me talk to you about my recent trip to Shoppers Drug Marts Beauty Boutique. They had their spring event, by $75 or more in cosmetics and get 20 times the Shoppers Optimum points! Now if you live here in Canada, you know how big Shoppers Drug Mart is in this country. Shopper Drug Mart is basically the U.S.A Ulta store.

So I couldn't resist. I have a whole bunch of point accumulating that I am saving for a great shopping spree of makeup and skin care, the works!

Anyway, I had an idea what I wanted to pick up today in shop since I have heard some great YouTubers speak about it. The gorgeous Jodi from "Goo Roo Beauty" on YouTube has spoken about the Stila "In the Know" Palette ($50) many times. I have a few products from Stila, some individual eye shadows (Kitten especially), BB creams, Eyeliners, and lip products. But I did not have a palette from them. So I thought about the palette choices they had. Personally the other palette choices they had were so close to palettes I already had in my stash, so I gravitated more towards the "In the Know" palette because, one it is ALL MATTE shades. Two, even though there are a lot of neutrals in this palette that is fine with me, especially since I am a nude/naked type of eyeshadow wearer. Finally three, the gorgeous burnt orange shade in this palette just made me want it even more! So I bought the palette. I am so excited to wear this palette its amazing. It also comes with an amazing stay all day smudge stick waterproof eye liner in the shade "Half moon". A gorgeous dark grey tone liner. It is definately something different that what I already had in my makeup collection, believe it or not. Plus Stila's smudge stick waterproof liners are amazing, once they set the do not move or budge. You will need the jaws of life (AKA a good makeup remover oil) to get this off you. Below I will show you all some swatches I did on these shades so you can see what I am talking about.

#Shoppingproblems

Great pigmentation, blends well, and all Matte shades. Can't go wrong here.

This dark grey liner looks amazing with this palette. Compliments the shades perfectly.

Now, if you think I walked into this store bought the palette and walked out, you are sadly mistaken! Shame on you for thinking I would not leave there without another item. If you have not noticed my blog is a beauty blog lol :)

So what else did I get you may ask me? Well, I have a lip product feddish lately so I ended up picking up the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the color "Carina" ($29). I have two other shades in this liquid lipstick line, and I was not a huge fan of the drying formula. BUT the color are so pigmented, the longevity is amazing, they do not transfer and they are a matte finish, aka that means semi-LOVE. Here is a picture below on the shade Carina. This product is the perfect lip product on those days you need to put color on your lips and forget about it because you won't have time to re-apply. May I suggest to bring a balm with you though? Also apply a balm under neath before applying this product so that you do not get over drying lippies.

Carina is the amazing coral orange shade that just looks fabulous on me when I have a bronze glow going on. For all you bronze biscuits out there, this color would look amazing on you!

Look at this amazing coral shade. Just loving corals, oranges and pinks this spring and summer.

Here is a picture of moi wearing the amazing lip shade in Carina. I just can not get enough of coral colors this year!

Don't mind the random shadow from my camera #bloggerproblems

That is what I picked up on my shopping trip today, I got to see my lovely ladies who work there at the beauty boutique in Shoppers Drug Mart, so it was nice to see them. Yes they do know me by name, sad I know. I am so excited for my new goodies, please let me know what kind of new products you have been to pick up and are excited to try out! I love hearing from all my readers!
