End of January Beauty Empties 2014

Ola beauty lovers! Let's talk beauty empties. It is a new month and that means I am showing you my end of January empties. I say this every time I post one of these and it is because it is so true. I love watching beauty empties videos and reading up on beauty empties posts because it shows me if people enjoyed the product or not after using it all up. So let's just jump right into it.

1. Dior Nude BB Cream-Sample size
- Really liked this BB cream, only down fall is that this sample was way too light for my skin tone. I am not too sure if they have other shades, but I will definitely check it out when I am in the market for another BB Cream. Dior is a higher end line, so I will have to pinch my pennies to save up for this full size baby.

2. Skin Care Sample Sizes
- I tell everyone and their mom when it comes to skin care samples, and I don't mean the deluxe size samples, I mean the dinky one time use sample packets, no woman or man can ever form a proper opinion on skin care creams based only on one use. So these sample sizes I have no opinions on since I couldn't use them long enough in order to tell you whether they worked for my skin or not.

3. Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Face Cream- Deluxe Sample size
- This is what I call a proper skin care deluxe sample size. This baby lasted me over a month. Yes I was able to use this for over a month, and guess what? I actually liked this moisturizer. When I apply this product to my face it really feels like I have given my skin a whole bunch of great vitamins. It has a great SPF of 30 so you can wear it under your make up during the day. I used it for both day and night. In this cold freezing weather this high potency face cream really was a treat to my skin, doesn't make me greasy which is my number one benefit I look for when shopping for a face cream. Lancome is another high end brand, if I ever decide to purchase this in full size it will be after I finish all my other face creams I have. Great product, only downfall is it is pricey.

4. Thayer's Alcohol Free Toner: Lavender Witch Hazel
- I love using toners when they are alcohol free. I mean really, who wants to feel stinging when they apply a toner after cleansing their face? I know I don't. I get this toner from the natural food store for about $10. It is pricey but you get 12 fluid ounces and that bottle lasts you for months and months. I purchased this bottle back in April or May time frame and I finished it in January. So that $10 spent on this does stretch out. Love this toner, will always re purchase this.

5. Bath & Body Works Candle in Leaves: Medium size candle
- I am not sure why, but when you do blogging for vlogging on beauty items it just goes hand in hand with loving to burn candles. Everyone knows the Bath & Body Works candles are the most famous in the blog and YouTube world. (If you don't follow me on YouTube please go Subscribe right NOW! MacGirl25Antonietta) This candle is the medium size candle in the leaves scent. This scent is from their 2013 Fall Collection. I just went to buy their 2014 summer candles and I walked out of there with 12 candles. Now I know what you are gonna say, OMG they are so expensive! Yes you are right BUT, the key is to go buy these amazing candles when they are on sale 2 for $25 or 2 for $22 for the large candles, depending where you live. I can not wait to burn the summer scents. Summer is my favorite season so I will be in heaven. Anyways the leaves scent is my favorite fall scent, I have a large candle size in the leaves scent and I am so excited to burn that one. I have 3 and half more fall large scented candles from Bath & Body Works to burn, so I am savoring them as they burn up because I am ready for summer!

6. California Mango Natural Hand and Body Lotion
- Got this on sale for a few bucks at Sally's Beauty Supply. I love this line for nail care. Their cuticle oil is great. However this hand and body lotion was not a favorite of mine. The formula of this product was very watery, runny and it did not seem to be a good deep moisture type of lotion. Lotions with more water in them are great for summer or spring lotions because they are a bit lighter. However I do tan all year round so I need a tripled body lotion to ensure my skin is not thirsty. I have a whole bunch of lotions to get through SO I will not be repurchasing this one....ever.

7. Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy Perfume
- I have a lot of perfumes to get through. This one has been a good one I always repurchase. This is more of a sweet fruity scent. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this perfume. Glad I used it up because I have a lot of bottles to get through. This perfume ranges around $60 or so, more in the middle price range in the perfume world.

8. Smash box Photo Finish Foundation Primer- Sample size
- Smash box primers are great. Love all Smash box primers. They do go for $50 a bottle so they are more on the expensive side but, if you want a good primer this is one to consider. Non greasy, applies smoothly. Keeps oils from breaking through.

9. Lush Roots Hair Treatment- Sample size
- Lush is great to give you sample sizes of products you are not ready to spend the money on until you know you love it. This roots hair treatment is meh. Yes I used the word "Meh". I honestly do not think this treatment does anything to my scalp at all. There is suppose to be peppermint in the product to help stimulate hair growth BUT I did not notice it at all. I personally use essential oils on a daily basis so I usually add a few drops of peppermint oil in my shampoo and it helps with stimulating the scalp for growing hair. Save your money on this treatment and just go with adding a few drops of peppermint oil to your shampoo and believe me you will notice a difference that way instead. Lushes Roots Hair treatment goes for $25-$30. Peppermint oil is $10 a bottle....plus which ever shampoo you use. Just throwing that out there.

10. Marcelle Eyebrow Pencil in Black
- Decent drug store eyebrow pencil. Affordable (around $12) and easy to blend into your brow hairs. Good option if you do not want to spend a lot on brow pencils. Ps. This pencil lasted me well over a year.

11. Maybelline Colossal Cat eye Mascara: Black
- I have a love hate relationship with this mascara. I reviewed this product when I got it and it was great in the beginning (go check out my review on my blog). BUT let this be a warning, when this mascara begins to dry out it gets flaky and starts to fall underneath your eyes. I mean its a drugstore brand so it's cheap. It does what is should until it begins to dry out. Would I repurchase this? Only if it was on sale or if it was waterproof.

12. Clinique Take the day off make up remover- Sample size
- I am going to be frank with you all. This is an average make up remover priced way too high. Don't waste your money on this remover when drugstore brands are better and cheaper in price.

13. Blistex lip balm
- Great drug store lip balm. I will repurchase once I run out of balms. They are affordable and minty. Love the minty flavor in balms.

14. Clarins Hydra Quench Cream- Sample size
- This Clarins moisturizer was good. Hydrated my skin without being greasy. This was a small sample so I was only able to use it for about a week, but still it was nice. My skin soaked up all the moisture from this cream. I have a few more samples of this so will keep you posted on my opinions further once I get through those.

15. Face Mack JM Dead Sea Salt
-  If you have been through my posts, and you follow my blog you know this mask is a frequent appearance in my empties posts. Affordable, get these at Wal-Mart for $1.97. They are a quick and easy way to pamper yourself when you need to wind down from a rough day. Love these one time use masks.

16. Hair Conditioners: Ion & Proclaim
- The ion conditioner is a great every day deep conditioner. It smells like sweet almond oil or Amaretto if you are European you will know what that is. The proclaim is an amazing deep conditioner with argan oil  infused into it. Love the Proclaim argan oil hair mask for once a week. The smell of the proclaim is not the greatest but it is not very strong. If you can get past the scent of it then you will love the results it gives your hair. Sally's sells both products and you can find them on sale frequently.

17. Bath & Body Works Hand Soap: Pumpkin Carmel Latte
- Love these hand soaps. They always make an appearance in my empties time and time again. Just trying to use up my fall scents in soaps as well so I can begin to use the amazing summer scents.

18. Mango Vera Body Lotion
- Enjoyed this lotion, lasted me for almost a whole year. Huge tub, affordable at Sally's. I prefer this lotion more in the spring and summer months since it is a light lotion.

19. Prevens Paris Makeup Remover wipes
- Hate these wipes, had them in another empties post, these were the last ones I had to get through because I bought them in a deluxe pack from Winners for cheap. The smell stinks, awful, they are moist but they break me out. Something in these wipes does not agree with my skin pH balance. Good ridden.

20. Delon+ Premium cotton rounds
- Love these cotton rounds, they have Aloe and Provitamin B5 in them. They are great to remove eye make up or apply toner. Get these at Costco in a big package. Always will repurchase these.

Well everyone that was my empties for last month. I did finish a bit of stuff, most of it was samples, but I am working on finishing my samples so I can focus more on full sized items.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Balm Review

Ola beauty lovers. Today I am going to give you some of my quick thoughts on the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Balms. I saw some hype here and there on these balms but I wanted to see for myself what was the big deal.

First off each chubby stick intense balm is around $19-$20. They have the regular line of chubby stick balms too but those are not as pigmented as these intense ones are. Which brings me to my next plus. These intense sticks are freaking pigmented galore! They are so smooth and buttery to apply on the lips, they provide the moisture of a balm and the pigmentation of a lipstick. That is the beauty of these, they are the best of both worlds!

The wearing power on these babies is decent. I have eaten and they still stay on, sometimes the balm may wear away but the stain of the color still sticks around to give you lips a great color.  My lips do not feel or look chapped or flaky when wearing these balms. They are so comfortable to wear on an every day basis, and have been my go too lippies for the last month. There is no tingling feeling to these lip products which is a plus so a larger range of consumers can use them. You don't even have to wear a lip liner with them. They are so perfect to throw on your lips and go out the door.

This would be an awesome product for those mothers on the go all the time. Throw it on your lips then throw it in your bag for a touch up later on in the day. In the mean time your lips are getting the best conditioning treatment while spicing your look up with a bit of color!

The current colors I have are:
  • 01 Curviest Carmel: This is the perfect everyday nude to wear to the office or out and about if you are wearing a more darker eye look
  • 04 Heftiest Hibiscus: This is a beautiful coral shade for the summer time (but I still use this in the winter)
  • 05 Plushest Punch: This is a gorgeous hot pink shade for the summer time as well (but we all know I always use vibrant colors in the winter time too)

If you live in a cold climate like I do for half of the year, then these balms will be your go to staple for the fall and winter time. My lips feel so hydrated when I use these babies. I am looking in to grabbing a couple more colors. I think they have around 8-10 colors in the Intense range of chubby sticks, don't quote me on that I am making an educated guess.

Anyways hope you enjoyed this review, thanks again for reading my posts! I do appreciate you all xo

Until next time beauty lovers <3

Mid October Beauty Empties 2013

Hello everyone. I hope y'all are having a good week. I haven't been feeling too well this week with my vertigo so I have been taking it easy on the blogging. I just filled a box of beauty empties for mid October and decided to come and share with you what I finished and my thoughts on these products.

1. Beauty Secrets Acetone: Nail Polish Remover
- Everyone who knows me, knows that I change my nail polish every 3 to 4 days. So I go through a lot of nail polish remover. I like this formula because it have wheat protein and vitamin E in it so it doesn't completely dry out my cuticles. You can get this brand at Sally's Beauty Supply. The bottle sizes range and the price ranges depending on the bottle size, but this line is affordable.

2. Dove Dry Shampoo
- Everyone and their mother talks about this shampoo. So I decided to go test out this product that everyone is raving about. The only good thing I can say about this dry shampoo is, it does not leave that white residue on your scalp or hair when you apply it. Does it actually soak up the natural oils in your hair to lengthen the amount of shampoo times....No. That's right, I am disagreeing with the majority of people who love this stuff. It does nothing for my hair, and my hair gets really dry at the ends and very oily at the scalp over a few days. I ended up going back to my Tresemme dry shampoo because that one actually helped out my hair a bit. Not to mention that the Dove dry shampoo seemed like you had to use so much of it that you would run out of the stuff so quickly. Not cool. Still on the hunt for a good dry shampoo.

3. Mane N' Tail Color Protect Conditioner
- I finished the shampoo from this set a while back. I always go through shampoo quicker then conditioner. It doesn't help that I really did not like this conditioner. I mean it's an average drug store conditioner, but I am looking for something more moisturizing since my hair is always being blow dried or flat ironed. Gotta make sure I put back that moisture. You can find this at Sally's Beauty Supply for $6-$8. Wal-Mart carries it as well. I preferably love the shampoo. The conditioner can take a number because it's not on the top of my list.

4. MAC Select Cover up Concealer
- I started using this concealer back in high school. It is great for young women who are starting out in make up. This concealer is a bit sheer on the first application. For a more full coverage you would need to apply 2 coats under the eyes. But for those of you ladies and gents who are over the age of 20, please be sure to apply an under eye moisturizer before applying this concealer because this formula tends to accentuate fine lines when you do not moisturize before hand. I learned that the hard way. I love this stuff though. I already had a back up ready to use once I finished this one. But as you all know I am a MAC lover. My shade in this one is NW25 and my skin tone is an olive complexion so it works well with me. Once you apply this concealer under the eyes make sure you set it with a powder, I use the Ben Nye Banana powder works awesome!

5. Silk Elements Olive Conditioner Packet
- I have a few of these individual packets of the olive conditioner. I love this stuff. The packets are cheap at Sally's Beauty Supply. Usually they go on sale for $0.99. This conditioner leaves my hair silky and smooth. Most of all it keeps my hair hydrated and smells great. It does not leave my hair greasy which is an ultimate bonus. They sell this in a bigger bottle as well, but I love these packets because you can take these any where especially if you travel a lot, or go on road trips etc.

6. NeoStrata Night Repair Cream (Sample size)
- I will not waste my time or your time on this thing. I got it in a sample size and was disgusted with it. Applying this night repair cream was gross. It honestly smelled like the Nair hair removal cream. YUCK! Save your money folks and find another product that would work and smell better. But just know the NeoStrata moisturizing face cream is different than this sample here. and the Moisturizing face cream is very good, go check out my last current favorites as this baby is in that article.

7. St.Ives Facial Cleansing towelettes
- I used love these face cleansing wipes. But over the years I notice that these make up removing wipes are not as moist as they once was. I don't know if it's just me or my mind is playing tricks on me but these make up removing wipes are not that great. Not to mention they are expensive $7-$8 for a pack of 32 cloths. You can find companies that have their make up removing wipes 100 times more moistened that these for half the price and they do the job. I doubt I will get these again unless there is a big sale...highly unlikely.

8. Cinnamon Bun Candle from the Dollar Store
- This is my second cinnamon bun candle I finished burning in a span of a month. I found this candle at the local dollar store for a buck! How great is that? This is a great alternative to the Bath and Body Works Candles for those of you who do not want to spend that kind of crazy money on a candle. Love this candle line and will be back to purchase more. The scent when it burns fills the room just like a Bath and Body Works Candle, the only difference is once the candle is out, the scent of the dollar store one does not last as long in the house as the Bath and Body Works one does. But hey for a buck you can't complain.

9. One 'n Only Argan Oil Hair Color Cream Developer in 20 Volume
- I started using this brand about 5 months ago, and I do not think I will go back to coloring my hair with any other coloring line. This brand is amazing. It is made in Italy which is up my ally being Italian and all, has argan oil infused in all their products including their color formulas, and its cheaper the price than to go to the hair salon to get it done.  The cream developer leave my hair feeling so hydrates and moisturized after coloring my hair. I feel like I nourished my hair instead of damaging it. Amazing!

10. Evian Facial Spray
- Finally finished this second facial spray I had from a pack of two. I got these at Sephora for $15. Such a waste of money. I can make my own facial spray at home with a mini bottle and some distilled water for a fraction of the cost. Won't be purchasing this again.

11. Maybelline The Falsies volume express mascara in black
- Love this mascara. It is affordable $5-$7 depending on where you find it, and it lengthens and volumizes just like it says. This mascara really does make it look like you are wearing false lashes! Love it! The brush is a fibre brush with a bit of a curve to it and works wonders on the lashes. The formula is not flaky and applies very nicely. It does not transfer to the under eye, however its not waterproof so don't cry and then expect the mascara not to run.

12. Clinique pore refining solutions correcting serum (sample size)
- This product for the amount I was able to test out from the sample was not the best. It kept me matte for a few hours however I was breaking through some oils later on in the day. It also did not refine my pores as it claims to do. My pores were just as large as they normally are. Not something I would repurchase in a full size.

13. Mario Badescu Cucumber cleansing lotion (sample size)
- I enjoyed using this product as a toner after I cleansed my face. I wouldn't say it was a lotion of any sort. The formula was more like a toner type of product. It was very cooling to the face after I washed it, it did not sting which was pleasant, and it did pick up any extra make up that my cleanser may have missed, which was not much. I am interested to know the price of a full size of this product. However I am not too sure where Mario Badescu products are sold in Canada. If any of you know please leave a comment down below.

14. J R Watkins Hand Cream in Lavender scent (sample size)
- I really enjoyed this hand cream from JR Watkins. It was not greasy. The lavender scent really helped me relax at night, which was when I used this hand cream. I would be interested to know where they sell JR Watkins products in Canada as I have not seen them around before. If any of you know where I can find full size products of theirs leave your comments down below. Very moisturizing hand cream. Loved it.

15. Bath & Body Works Mini Candle in Leaves scent
- I love Bath & Body Works candles. They are so luxurious and enjoyable as most of you may already know since they are the talk of each changing season. I bought two of these mini candles when they were on sale. They were going for 2 for $5. I couldn't pass it up. I bought Leaves and Pumpkin Caramel Latte. I gave the pumpkin caramel latte to my niece to take home since she loved the scent and she is obsessed with Starbucks. I kept Leaves and burned it to the bottom. Leaves is such a refreshing scent and makes your room feel like fall time. The mini candles do not last as long as the bigger candles do. The mini candle lasted for me for a good 5 hours to 6 hours of burning. But really that's all you need to burn a candle for unless you really are not going out anywhere and leave it burning longer.

16. Dead Sea face spa mask
- I love these at home facial masks. They are my favorite thing to do on a Friday night or Saturday when I just want to chill out and relax with a book. Love them! They are very affordable $2-$3 at Wal Mart! You can pick any type of facial mask as they do have a selection to choose from.

Well that is it for my Mid October beauty empties. I hope you all enjoy reading these type of entries.
Let me know what you have finished up lately and if you liked it or not! :)

MAC Beauty Haul (MAC Sale)

Ola Beauty Lovers! Last weekend I went to my local MAC beauty sale they have every quarter to half a year. What it is, is basically a giant warehouse sale of beauty products. Not just MAC there is Estee Laudier, Clinique etc. So my girlfriend happened to get a couple tickets (because it is by invite only) and she brought me along, knowing I have a Beauty Blog and YouTube Channel. Yes for those of you who do not know I do have a YouTube Channel. You can find me by my user name: MacGirl25Antonietta on YouTube.

So I did a little bit of shopping to try out some new items and to pick up a couple of my MAC products.
Hope you enjoy the Haul below, Note I also made a haul of the same items on my YouTube channel in case you are interested.

1. Estee Laudier Sparking Clean Oil Control Foaming Gel Cleanser ($20) (Retail: $30-$40)
  • I have never tried an Estee Laudier cleanser before so I thought this would be the perfect time to grab one of these babies to try out and share my thoughts with all of you. I have not used it yet, but on the package it does claim that it controls oils. Here is a snip it of what the bottle says, " Fresh, citrus gel surges into an exhilarating lather that controls oil without stripping". I took a whiff of it and it is very refreshing scent. So lets hope this stuff works. I will keep y'all posted.

2. MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover ($12) (Retail: $21)
  • I have not yet tested this eye make up remover out. But I have heard good things about it. So I am going to take a risk and test it out. It is a pricey make up remover retail price. Since I caught it on sale for $12 I figured why not. That sale price is equivalent to my other eye make up remover prices. Will keep y'all posted on this one too.

3. Grassroots Research Labs: Vitamin C Skin refreshing Cleanser with Vitamins E and B5 ($10) (Retail: Unknown)
  • I had never heard of this company before. But after doing a bit of light research, I learned that this company is affiliated with Estee Laudier. I have not been able to pin point any retail prices on this company so I will need to dig a little deeper. Looking forward to trying out this refreshing cleanser. For $10 you can't go wrong. Stay tuned as I use these products I will definitely be sharing my opinions with all my readers.

 4. MAC Eye Shadow Quad in Angel Flame ($25) (Retail: $50)
  • I love MAC eye shadow quads. I have a couple and I try to only purchase them when I go to sales like these because they are half the retail price! This one was my favorite out of the couple they had to choose from. Starting from the top left corner, there is a light shimmer highlight shade. Then beside that is a gorgeous coppery rose gold shade. This rose gold shade is what sold me on this palette. Then the bottom left shadow is a baby pink. I don't find the baby pink as pigmented as the rest. Then the bottom right is a charcoal grey which is perfect to smoke out the look if you wanted a more dramatic look at night. This palette is very versatile for both day and night. Love it. I would swatch them but my lighting is just not up to par today. Sorry ladies and gents.

5. 3 MAC Nail polishes ($9 each) (Retail: $18 each)
  • I love nail polish. For those of you who have read my previous articles, you know I love doing my own nails. It's a therapy for me. I found these at the sale and just had to pick them up. Normally I don't buy MAC Nail polish because they are pricey, but when I get the opportunity to go to a sale like this I make it worth it. From left to right here are the shades. "Life and Beth" is a creamy peachy nude. "Myth" is a cream yellow tone nude. "Triumphant" is a chocolate dark brown which is great for fall. To see swatches of these three beauties please go follow me on instagram @AntoniettaNacc

 6. MAC Velux Pearl Eye Shadow in Twinks ($12) (Retail: $18)
  • I have this shade already but I had to get another one because it is the perfect bronze fall shade for all over the lid or adding dept to the crease, I got greedy and picked this one up too. What can I say? I am a true Beauty Lover. Just look at that gorgeous bronze shade. If you want to see how these shadows look on me, please again follow my instagram @AntoniettaNacc I always post make up of the day looks and nail swatches all the time.

7. MAC Blush in Pink Swoon ($12) (Retail: $25)
  • Now I know every body and their mom owns this blush. But when I saw it on sale I had to pick it up because I did not own it. Yes that is the MAC Blush in Pink Swoon. This blush is one of the most popular blushes by MAC known to man. It does look a bit scary and bright in the packaging but when you apply it on the skin, its a beautiful light pink that is build able depending how flushed you want your cheeks to look. Love it, and I love that I scored it on sale LOL.

8. Grassroots Research Labs Flowing Cactus Extreme Moisture Cream ($25) (Retail: Unknown)
  •  So I picked up another Grassroots research lab product. From that I can see is that this company has distribution warehouse in Canada and they try to use as much natural ingredients as possible. Although not all of their products are all with only natural ingredients. Love the smell of this cream though, so I will be excited to use this in the winter when my skin needs the most moisture ever.

Ok so that is what I got at the MAC Sale. However I was not impressed with their selection this year on a larger base aspect. I was looking for 2 Clinique products that they did not offer. So I decided to go to my local Shoppers Drug Mart and redeem some of my Optimum points. Below is what I got for free with my points:

1. Clinique All about lips (Free) (Retail: $28)
  • I heard so many great things on YouTube from my friend  Lizzy, her channel is WhatWouldLizzyDo. I have read some great reviews on this product too. You put this on your lips before you apply any lip products. This is suppose to help de-line and de-flake your lips through out the day when wearing your lipsticks, lip glosses etc. So I am so excited to try this out.

2. Clinique All about eyes (Free) (Retail: $36)
  • I am about to run out of eye cream so I thought this is a good time to use up my points to get a good eye cream. This one felt really moisturizing and rich so I will test this baby out and let you all know my thoughts. The girl try to sell me on a $110 eye serum and I told her that I am only 25 years old I am not that desperate yet! LOL Sticking to the basics for now.

Anyways, that was my haul. I hope you enjoyed it. I will be keeping you all posted on my thoughts on these products as I use them. Please stay tuned. If you are further interested go check me out on my YouTube Channel MacGirl25Antonietta or Instagram @ AntoniettaNacc .

Until next time beauty lovers ❤
